GRC will take on Trinity in the semi-finals of the King of the Bluegrass tourney Monday at 7:30. GRC is playing up to their ranking and have defeated two very good teams in Lee Al and Memphis Central TN to get to the Semi's. Trinity also is playing well right now. Your thoughts and predictions.

After seeing both play, I would have to favor Clark with their size but I would not count Trinity out.

With Trinity's defense, they can play with anybody.

I think this game will be won or lost on the boards. If Trinity can rebound with the larger Clark team, they may have a shot at the upset.

This game is a toss up IMO. Trinity is tough with their defense and they have shown that they have many differnt weapons offensively with Sewell, Epley, Dieudonne, and Corbett.

I think Trinity's defense slows this game down some and forces Clark to play a half court game.

Clark should have too much firepower offensively, but don't be surprised if Trinity pulls the upset.

Clark Co- 61

Trinity- 56

Match ups:

6'6 Daniels v 6'0 Corbett

6'4 Stenzel v 6'0 Foster

6'4 Rogers v 6'4 Sewell

6'7 Purvis v 6'5 Epley

6'8 Zollo v 6'5 Dieudonne

Kindred may play, not sure he will be back in the starting lineup...we will have to wait and see.

Yea I wasn't sure if I should put him in there or not, so I just went with what they've shown the whole tournament.

GRC's overall size and length should get them the victory. They are playing good ball right now.

GRC 72

Trinity 67

GRC faced a very tough full court press Saturday night and were able to keep the game close enough in the end to pull out the prayer shot . The key being they had to be that close in the end to win! This team has always found ways to win. Memphis matched up size and talent wise with GRC and to beat them I think you have to have the total package, depth and size and talent to match. Even with that combination they may still beat you !

I think you will see an inspired GRC team that has played a tougher schedule than anyone else I have seen this year. They will be ready to play and I will go with the Cards by 10.

I don't know about that.

Male, Memphis Central, and Lee (AL) are the only real tests that Clark has had so far and I'm not so sure Lee was even that much of a quality opponent considering Ballard also beat them by 16.

Ballard has played a much tougher schedule so far: St. Xavier, Manual, Trinity, Lee (AL), Memphis Central, Bryan Station, Jeffersonville (IN), Scott Co

I think Eastern has also played a tougher schedule: St. Xavier, Manual, Lawrence North (IN), Tates Creek, Shelby Co.

Clark Co has played a few tough opponents early on and are definetly a great team, but they haven't played close to the toughest schedule in the state:

North Laurel (1-6), Pendleton Co (3-3), Montgomery Co (4-2), Male (3-3), Paris (1-5), Lee (8-7), Memphis Central (6-2)

Clark by 6, 74-68

No one said toughest in the state:rolleyes:

You said "played a tougher schedule than anyone else I have seen this year."

What's that supposed to mean then?

I think Zollo is the difference maker in this game. If he can dominate the paint Trinity will have a tough time. That being said, I think T's defense is playing too well right now to let anyone dominate them. I'm taking the Rocks in the upset:

Trinity 64, Clark 62

Zollo plays on the wing. Rogers plays center and is a brute. He will be hard to handle. Think our height may cause them some problems. We need to own the boards. If we can continue to get 3-4 players in double figures, I Like our chances.
