BGP has Highlands at 14 and Mason County at 15. Should be an entertaining game.

I heard them call his name the other night in the game...and thought who is this...never heard of him. Did he play varsity last year?

 

Rheuben Bluford, Ledger-Independent's basketball preview lists him at 6-5; probably 6-4, about 230 pounds. Didn't play varsity last year as far as I know. A big body to come off the bench and mix it up down low.

Grubbs has 40 lbs and 3 inches on the inexperienced lad.

Chance for Highlands to start getting some love around the state. I think they are pretty darn good this year. At home, I see this as a low double digit win for the Birds.

Senior. Probably has averaged around 7-8 minutes a game so far this season.

Should be a very interesting game...

I'll take the Royals 57-54.

It was the opening game for both teams last year at Mason Co. Both the JV and Varsity games went double overtime. Football was still going on I think and Grubbs was not even in attendance. I think Mason had a player or two out also. It was a heck of a game last year and it will be a heck of a game Friday night. I don't think Grubbs is close to being in hoops shape yet but he will probably be the difference in this one. If he plays well Birds win. If he comes up short Mason will be tough, even on the road. I would expect a good game anytime these teams meet and am glad to see them playing each other. I love the popcorn in the fieldhouse!

HHS by 8. Kowolonek has a big game.

Highlands is a tough place to play. I will take the Birds by 4 in a tough game.
