Maybe Antonio will end up at UK and all of Kentucky can cheer for him for the next four years. Antonio on the field at the same time with Randall Cobb, wow.

Yeah, you'd think with all of the UK gear he wears (I know it's for the blue color) that he already made his mind up......just hasn't shared it with everyone else.

He even wears UK socks during basketball!

Again, congratulations to Antonio on this achievement.

Also congratulations to all of the players that were nominated.

Later.

Congrats to Antonio Andrews!!

So much for the concern about regional or even class bias. Hopefully, this W. Ky. AA winner puts that to rest once and for all.

Travis Atwell won the award in 1999 in Class A from Hancock County (WKY Region).

Thanks for that feedback. I made my comment because there were many, many, many posts on here throughout the season saying they doubt Andrews would win because of him being small school and/or W. Ky. player. So now there are two players who have proven that is not true.

A more recent one than '99 was 2005 when Micah Johnson, also from Fort Campbell, was selected. The smaller schools from WKY can get this award.

His decision is pretty close-hold, I have tried to work it out of his Dad on several occasions with zero success.

Hoptown would fall in the larger school category.

Another is Pookie Jones from Calloway County back in 1989.
