I was really hoping Guida would win and he started out the fight looking good. But he didn't look the same after Florian caught him with that elbow and opened him up. Pretty nice right hand on Guida as well that rocked him hard setting him up to let Florian get the easy rear naked choke victory.

Alan Belcher KO's Wilson Gouvia.

^ And in under two minutes.

BJ/Diego getting ready to start.

Once again Diego comes to the ring yelling YES three hundred and fifty seven times.

So annoying

Penn dominates Sanchez in the Main Event. Fight stopped in the 5th round due to a cut over Diego's eye. It was nasty.

^ It was a pretty nasty cut.

Pretty entertaining card.

The Prodigy did work on Diego. Mir and Ken-Flo looked great too. Three of my favorites.

BJ Penn looked the best I've ever seen him. That was an amazing effort by him. I love watching that guy fight. He is by far my favorite fighter to watch.

Frank Mir was pretty impressive as well. He landed a huge punch and then submitted Kongo.

Also impressed with Kenny Florian. I got all three of those picks right tonight in my predictions.

Penn is awesome. Complete domination, that cut Sanchez had was nasty!

Mir did work on Kongo, although I don't think Kongo has improved on bit since he has been in the ring. The heavywieght class is weak IMO. I will say that Mir is the second best fighter in that division. Still think Lesner would win easily in a Mir / Lesner rematch when Lesner is healthy.

Pretty entertaining card tonight. Penn is crazy good, near impossible to take him down. Thought Sanchez should have given that strategy up earlier.

I didn't watch, but it sounds like there were no surprises in any of the three main fights. At least, that's pretty much how I thought they'd go.

Guida is entertaining, but I figured Florian would be too skilled. One of Guida's biggest advantages is his conditioning and intensity...Florian negates that because those are two of his strengths as well. So, call that a wash and you're left with a far more skilled and well-rounded fighter in Florian.

Mir was/is clearly a better fighter than Kongo. Many people may have taken Mir's comments in the PPV countdown preview as fight-hyping trash-talk, but the fact is, everything he said was 100% accurate. His boxing is superior. His ground game is even more superior. And, Kongo does lose fight after fight because of his inferior ground game. I would have been surprised if Mir hadn't submitted him.

And, of course, nobody in the LW division can touch BJ at this point. In my mind, Florian has established himself as the clear cut #2 guy in that class and BJ dominated him like everyone else. Diego was out of his league. To be fair though, I'm surprised the fight lasted into the final round.

That was a pretty decent card...I had an invite to watch and would have liked to, but it didn't work out. Sounds like it was an entertaining show.

I thought the card was really good.

Wasn't surprised that all three (Florian, Mir, and Penn) won their fights. Guida is always going to put on an entertaining fight regardless who he fights. Florian's skill set is just that much better though.

Mir, I really can't stand him.....although (as many others have said in this thread) he was 100% correct in assessment of his fight with Kongo. However, I don't think he'd take Lesnar, even if Lesnar comes back early and is only fighting @ 90%......Lesnar worked his gameplan very well the last time against Mir.

Penn, simply the best in the world @ LW. His conditioning was fantastic as well. I was surprised that it went as far as it did......Sanchez has got heart and he's like the Energizer Bunny consistantly attempting the takedown against a guy that's almost impossible to take down. There isn't a LW in the UFC that can beat Penn right now.

Lesnar took a few good shots from Mir when they were standing in their last fight. If Mir can keep Lesnar on his feet he might be able to beat him in their next fight. It will be interesting to see though (if we ever see it).
