When they dropped back into half court defense it was the same thing. Steal after steal Boyd had 46 turnovers

 

Yikes. I hate this for BC. They have really fallen off of the map.

What has happened to Boyd County! They had some really strong teams in school history and have fell off the map in the last 5 or 6 years. Talent comes and goes tho I guess in this situation.

 

This is a ridiculous score. Have you no mercy, Ashland? :-)

 

In all reality, Boyd County should be ashamed of letting what once was the best basketball program in the region completely go down the tubes. I understand the talent comes and goes in cycles, but to lose to your biggest rival by 60 points??? What is going on out there?

 

I said in a thread earlier that the obvious choice of complaint for Boyd fans was going to be coaching. In my opinion it comes down to the talent Boyd has walking the halls these days, it's just not there right now. Phil Jackson with Coach K as an assistant couldn't coach this team to a better record than they are going to have this season... The only thing that could save the basketball team would be if we had Coach Cal out recruiting the ramey home.

 

I have a younger brother who plays a sport for Boyd County. Kids are being heavily encouraged to only play one sport. There simply isn't the talent at Boyd to be able to pick and choose who plays what sport. The basketball team is terrible, the football team was average at best and I'm not sure what the baseball team looks like this year. There are some athletes at Boyd that could help the basketball team out the same way there are some that could have helped the football team out.

Starters played very sparingly in the 4th. They played together for a few minutes in the 1st quarter and again for a few minutes after the half to start the 3rd quarter. The rest of the time subs were in and out continually.

Biggs played every player off the bench. I think a total of 13 players for Ashland played before the end of the first half.

I was at the game and I am a Boyd Co parent. Ashland did not run up the score, it is simply no ones fault but Boyd Co.
