Ashland 82 Boyd County 21

Featured Replies

What has happened to Boyd County! They had some really strong teams in school history and have fell off the map in the last 5 or 6 years. Talent comes and goes tho I guess in this situation.

This is a ridiculous score. Have you no mercy, Ashland? :-)

In all reality, Boyd County should be ashamed of letting what once was the best basketball program in the region completely go down the tubes. I understand the talent comes and goes in cycles, but to lose to your biggest rival by 60 points??? What is going on out there?

Did the transfers get to see any action in this one? If so, how did they look?

I agree, Boyd Co. had some great teams in the 90's.

This isn't intended to be critical in ANY way especially to Boyd County's present coaching staff. I always thought Roger Zornes really did a good job with the program when he was there.

While Boyd County took two 30 point losses to Ashland last year, it was only in 2007 when Boyd County beat Ashland 58-55 and lost to Ashland by 6. How can 2 schools located so close together with relatively the same number of students going to each school become 60 points apart in basketball in a matter of 2 years?

Ashland showed a lot of class keeping the full court press on with a 50 + point lead starting the 4th period.

:scared: Wow. I would have thought the water boys and statisticians would have been in by that time.

Coach Biggs plays that style if he is winning by 30 or getting beat by 30.

Karma will get him. I understand that there's only so much a team can do to keep from embarassing the opponent. But falling back into a half-court defense or even a zone defense is an obvious one. :idunno:

Did either of the transfers to Ashland see the floor?

Gregg had 6 points.

When they dropped back into half court defense it was the same thing. Steal after steal Boyd had 46 turnovers
