What is wrong with klee haven't heard much about her in the first two games? Figured she would be the one to watch out for on the saints team.

 

I mentioned this last week. I don't think she has played. She wasn't at practice last week.

She was in foul trouble the first game against Bourbon Co.

 

I look for her to pick it up, she is a solid player a double-double night in and night out.

Yes she has played, and not real sure where you heard she wasn't at practice dont think she has missed a practice in a while. She has a different role this year you forget they had a very good player in Chamberlain in the middle last year. Everyones roles have changed to replace three seniors. As the season progress eveyone will get the experience with the new roles and be just fine. I think they look pretty good so far finding ways to win.

IMO, I thought Bracken County got the short end of the stick on the calls. How many times did the Payne sisters have a hold of a Bracken girls jersey and no foul was called. They should be renamed to Grab and Hold. Klee should have been on the bench as well for the simple reason you are not allowed to hook a person in the post the way she was doing Hannah last night. I dont know how the officials were biased towards St. Pat, heck they shot 43 free throws. On a side note, one of the refs last night had the last name of Payne. Interesting.

How about the foul when one of Bracken County's players ran smack into Haight and the foul got called on a St. Pat player? Was it a block on Haight or a charge on the Bracken player? Can you foul your own teammate?:irked: The two Bracken players laughed all the way through the free throws.

This was a hard fought game just as I expected. These two teams are pretty even. As far as getting physical, most teams will try to get away with whatever the officials will let them. Both teams received bad calls. The better team, regardless of the officials, will win the game most of the time. This district will be very interesting by the end of the season.

I really think St. Patrick is the better team but the fouls called early on took them out of their game. They were not playing as agressive as they should because they were afraid of being called for fouls. A couple of players were

in foul trouble in the first quarter and that had them all playing a bit more a conservatively on defense.

I just said the teams were pretty even, which the final score showed. This was a home game for the Saints. If you have watched these two teams play the last couple of years, all the games were pretty close. As far as defense, if you get too aggressive, then you will get in foul trouble.

Fouls the first half was BC 10 SP 5 second half SP pat was in the double bonus early. And as far as the rough play, StPat fans must wear blinders because it was started by their team. Why was their no National Anthem before the game.

That would taken another 5 minutes and game would of lasted 3 hrs .

It was a sad call, but was balanced out by the non-call when Klee pushed Haight four feet under the basket on a rebound attempt.

If one team is a running team and the other is a half court team then a lot of fouls will be called on the shot of the running team.

 

Simply not true at all. Teams that run methodical, half-court sets, trying to get the ball in the post, shoot more free throws. Transition teams thrive on beating the defense down the floor and getting easy points.

 

This is nowhere more evident than in the recent UConn/UK game. UConn is a half-court team, while UK is dependent upon the transition game. UConn outshot UK from the FT line 24-17.

 

It makes sense that St. Pat shot more free throws than BC because of late-fouling to stop the clock. But 42-24? That's just ludicrous.
