It will be interesting to see how Jolly does in this one knowing brossart will be all over him! Expect this game to be in the 40's

I would say the road win for Campbell over Dixie is much more impressive than the Stangs win over Pendleton. No one has given Pendleton any hope this year of being successful, yet Campbell and BBHS were ranked in the top 4 or 5 by Lexington Paper and Cats Pause. Stangs should feel lucky to leave Falmouth with a win!!!!! Wildcats handed that one to you in the OT.

 

As for who wins, not very sure, agree that it will be a low scoring game, and probably a very boring one at that. Hope you guys can stay awake to watch, while the rest of us are in other locations.

I think P-county is underrated. Not sure if the writers from the Cats pause or a Lex paper have had a chance to see them play. My guess is that they are going off of a not so great record from last year and recent track record of the wildcats. Back to the thread--it will be a low scoring affair in a packed house. Both teams are still trying to come into their own. Stangs over the Camels 46-43. Jolly and Reiger will be the leading scorers for the game.

You seem to have overlooked the fact that Pendleton County did defeat Campbell County in Claryville Heights already this season, and are placing your total basis on the outcome of the Campbell County/Dixie game. PCo, incidentally also gave Clark County a great game in Winchester.

 

I take offense to the statement that PCo "handed the game" to BB in OT.

Rieger was fouled out. Morscher hit his 6th three, prior to his fouling out, and Saunders and Norton scored buckets to put the Stangs in a position to be fouled, and Jordan Armstrong took over from there (8-8 from stripe).

 

While an incredible spectacle, and determining who has the opportunity to play Scott for the top district seed, what happens later on in February is what counts.

Too often we have seen the Crosstown champ dethroned in the district tournament by the crosstown runner-up. BB lost sizably last year to Campbell County, who was the far superior team on that night, BUT the Stangs took them out in the 37th District re-match two months later.

 

Enjoy your hum-drum regular season game elsewhere. You will miss the best atmosphere short of a regional finals in Alexandria.

You couldn't ask for a better game than this early season district matchup. The atmosphere is great and what a great rivalry. I hope that when Brossart gets their new sports complex that they can have a little larger gym and they can play these games on their home courts. The noise level in both gyms would be amazing. I think Reiger and Jolly will not be heard from much in this game. Both teams are going to try and make the supporting cast beat them. I give the supporting cast edge to Brossart right now but mainly for their heart. These boys come out and scratch and claw to win games. The Camels have a good supporting cast that is starting to come together but still has some work to do. I think Code is still trying to figure out how to use the players off the bench and what they are going to give him. I think Neises, Kennedy, and McGovney will have to be the deference makers in this game for Campbell County. I am going to say that there is going to be more points scored in this game than people think. CC 56 - BB 53.

I definitely see the game in the 40's! If Jolly is shut down the game is over. He needs 20+. The Camels also need to be sure and rebound to stop any 2nd chance opportunities!
