I believe you stated that I was wrong, before I said that about you. I don't care if you think UK is the next USC. Doesn't bother me. But, MOST are going to disagree with you, and that has to be okay IMO.:idunno:

I think UK can get to the level where UC, TCU, and well where UL was at with Petrino. Yet you seem to think even that is impossible for some reason. If UK can get to the level those programs are at, then they could every so often make a run at it. I mean I really don't see how it is so hard to think that UK can get to a level where UC, or a TCU is at now. I mean 3 years ago, people would have said people were crazy for thinking UC could be as good as they are now, yet they pulled it off. UK can get to the level where teams like that are, with the right coaches in place. That is not impossible and not that hard to see.

I agree here. He could not possibly be the coach of the year, but he and the staff did a great job this season IMO. A bad season this year, and UK probably never would have recovered IMO.

If UK is never going to take the next step, then UK never deserves to have the Coach of the Year -- It's pretty simple. Regardless of whether they could've been 10-2 or any other record, they aren't... They're 7-5. And if Brooks can be in the Coach of the Year discussion, I'll mark Cobb down as my Heisman dark horse candidate.
