December 1, 200916 yr Herald Leader just said a source close to the Outback Bowl is going to pick Auburn. That burns me up if it's true. So you didn't have a problem with UK going over UT, but it's not fair that Auburn goes over Kentucky? :lol:
December 1, 200916 yr UK will be in the Music City Bowl. I wouldn't be so sure now the music city bowl has UT to pick from most likely with UGA going to Peach.

And the UK UL basketball game won't cause Shreveport to magically want UK over USC. It might cause BHAM to want USC over UK but their opinion will most likely be irrelevant.

I don't think UK would accept a bid ont he same day at the basketball game. That would also be a dumb move for the bowl game because they would be cutting UK's attendance in half.

Bham bowl gets last pick, SEC and bowl are contracted with each other. I'm not sure if UK could opt out or not but if UK opted out of BHAm bowl I would imagine they would have a bowl game to go to. If shreveport goes with USC, Music City with UT/UGA, and Peach with UT/UGA UK may be stuck in Bham bowl.
December 1, 200916 yr No way the Cats go to the Outback Bowl. The record is not good enough to get them there. Although I would love to see them there, UK will be better off in a smaller bowl and have a chance to win another bowl game. I see UK going to the Music City Bowl or Papa Johns Bowl game.

On January 1, 1999 UK played in the Outback Bowl against Penn State. The Cats entered that game with a 7-4 record in the day of the 11 game regular season. It is not the record, because one of the 7-5 SEC teams (KY, TN, AR, GA, SC, AU) will be playing in that bowl. I might agree with your opinion, but it is not because of Kentucky's record.
