Saw Holmes 7th play yesterday, and they looked very good. Some nice bigs on this team, and solid guard play.

November 23, 200916 yr 6th-Conner 7th-Holmes 8th-Conner Conner and Holmes actually played each other in the finals in 6th and 7th. Campbell County played Conner in the finals in the 8th. It was a 2pt game at half, Conner ended up winning by 10. Great game!
November 24, 200916 yr In 6th grade action Ockerman beat Holmes by about 8 or so, I don't remember the exact score. In 7th grade action Ockerman slaughtered Holmes through three quarters and the score was 37 to 10. Then Ockerman put their bottom five in and Holmes decided to leave their ones in (Holmes has 15 kids on the team) and the score ended up 42 to 30 with the Ockerman ones coming back in. Any way you cut this one it was complete and I mean complete domination by Ockerman. On a side note, some things happened that I can't repeat or Ram would suspend me but suffice to say Holmes has some issues from players out of control, to parents out of control to a coach that got a T and deserved it.

Nice leader.

Any standouts from Camp Ernst? I've not seen them play. As for Conner taking teams to the woodshed, they have done that to a lot of teams this year. I think they have already taken home the hardware in the CCMS tourney and the St. Henry tourney. They have played a ton of games against top talent and won most in lopsided fashion. I have not seen Walton play this year. Who is on that team? From what I remember last year they were very strong and could be one of the only teams in the area to challenge Conner on a consistent basis, but saw where McNeil is playing varsity?

I agree Holmes has two good big men but mediocre guard play at best. I thought the Ockerman coaching staff had Holmes well scouted and employed the perfect game plan defensively.

Walton had a very good team last year with McNeil and Moeves leading the way. I believe McNeil is not playing 8th, however not sure about Moeves?? Conner/Walton were scheduled to play on 11/14, but had to cancel due to a flu clinic at the Walton gym. The two teams played last year and Conner lost both. The first being a 1 point loss at Conner and a lopsided Walton victory at Walton. But you are right, two very good teams that can hopefully get their game rescheduled. Anyone know Walton's record right now?
