^Ryle already has it. Why can't they play there?

 

I guess JV games and boys/girls soccer would get in the way though.

The original post that states the high schools don't want pee wee football on their fields is the problem. I would think that there would be a lot of conflicts for Saturday games with JV football and soccer. There would be zero conflicts if the league played on Sundays.

 

The pee wee leagues are what feed the high school teams. Open the lines of communication with the high school AD's, offer some of that maintenance cash to the schools as a rental fee, play on Sundays, its a win-win for both groups.

BCPFWL needs Sat/Sun to complete all games. And the SB is no longer at Ryle.. it was at the pewee field this year. Not enough revenue to host it at Ryle.

Does the NKYFL pay the high schools to use their fields?

How many games are there each weekend? There are 4 high schools in Boone Co. If the school system got on board that would be 4 fields.

It looks like they play 8 games on Saturday and 6 on Sunday.

No I do not believe so. The SB was at Ryle last year was more of a special occasion. But it didn't bring enough money in for Ryle to host it again.

 

Also, each team is responsible for a field duty 2-3 times a year. If they used more than one field, each time would have a field duty every week. That would never fly.

IMO, Ryle should not look to profit off of something like this. They should let them use the field free of charge, and tell the BCPWFL that they're responsible for concession, clean-up, etc. With them having the turf field, there's no extra maintenance to the field. I'm sure the BCPWFL can come up with plenty of volunteers to work the event.

Ryle has some good connections to the league though. More could be done by all the Boone Co. schools. Fact of the matter is the pewee field is in the back of the line for turf.

Have they tried getting with the city/county park departments, and having games at the parks? I see they practice at some of them.
