iPhone Apps

Featured Replies

Got an iPhone yesterday and was wondering what apps everyone liked. Here are some I've found I enjoy so far.

NPR (easily my favorite)

My Fantasy Teams

MLB at Bat

Twitterrific

Urban Spoon

Pandora

Flixster

PS Mobile

Shazam

Taxi Magic

Tic Tac Touch (my roommate and I can play each other on it)

ESPN Sports Center, The weather Channel, Map Quest,Google Earth, and You tube are must haves.

Besides the ones mentioned above I have ebay, I made BGP one, facebook, USA Today, DirecTV, Pandora, a compass and a flashlight.

I have the bold and like them as well.

What does Map Quest do that the google maps app can't do?

What's Google Earth all about?

Where can I find this? :D

He probably just basically created a button that will take him straight to BGP, instead of having open Safari and go to it from there.

I could be wrong though.

I recently got an app called FanGo and it is a really cool app for sports goers. If you ever find yourself at any of the following places, this app is for you:

American Air. Center

AT&T Arena

CenterStage Theatre

IAAM Conference

Keeneland Race Track

Quicken Loans Arena

Rupp Arena

UK Memorial Coliseum

Wachovia Center

What this app does is it allows you to order concession food directly from your seat and someone will bring it to you free of charge. At any UK basketball game you automatically get one free drink and one free bag of chips if you order using this app. You plug in your credit card info and anything you order is charged directly to it. I used it during the ticket lottery at Memorial the other day, and I must say it's very nice to not have to leave your seat and stand in line. The list of places who use this program seems to be growing rather rapidly too.

That seems like a nice application. I'm out of the technology loop, how much do these apps cost? And is it a one time thing or monthly payments?

Most are free, I've seen some for $4.99 but most of them are .99 to $1.99. One time fee.

Some are free and some aren't. The ones that aren't free start at .99 and go up from there depending on the ap. Most of the ones mentioned are free.

I remember seeing this when I was at the Blue White game. I'll have to remember this when I take my old man to a UK game later in the year.

I wonder if Freedom Hall has it?

My Fantasy Teams has a free version and a pay version...right now I have the free version but will probably upgrade. Everything else I have is free.

Just wondering what MLB AB's app does during the off season?

In addition to many of the apps mentioned above, I also like:

Yellow Pages – great app for people who travel

College Football by Plusmo

Visible Vote – for you P&R folks

Boxed In – addictive game

Tip Calculator

Backgrounds

1001 ringtones

WHVO – listen to all the Fort Campbell games on my phone :ylsuper:

Not yet, but I'd say it's just a matter of time.
