No but you sure can carry it with you & put it on the sink next to you.

 

Or, if you're feeling lucky, you can put it on your lap. But I hate doing that.

 

More trouble than it's worth. The portability and readability of the newspaper as opposed to even laptops (let alone phones with tiny, unreadable screens) is unmatched.

I want the real thing and they aren't even close. It's portable, it has a great "feel" to it, and it's easier on the eyes. I vote the same way in the Kindle v. Real Book argument.

I've been reading SOME paper every day since I was in middle school. Though I openly admit that a lot of times it's just the sports page.

 

I really wish I could work from home so I could get up every morning, fix some coffee, and grab the paper for an hour each day. Right now it's just a sports page at lunch and occasionally I have time for a little more.

Newspapers today are like the news show on TV, they don't report on the news, they either make the news or slant it the way they think you should read it.

It may be partly due to age, but many papers have also reduced their font size and styles in recent years to help cut costs.

Basically the only thing I did read was the comment line and the Sports. You can't read the whole sports section on the Internet though.

I have never been a big paper reader. I could, and sometimes do, sit online all day and read articles and stories from all over the world.

 

And I agree with Hangman. I never could maneuver a newspaper without it all coming apart and me getting confused and frustrated. :ohbrother:

Maybe so, but I don't see the point of wasting your phone's battery life on using it as a walkman. Plus, the sound quality on those things (as well as iPods) is atrocious.

When you are stuck in front of a computer all day that you can't stream music on...you take what you can get.

I read the Lexington Herald paper copy every morning when I am at work,and I read the Danville Advocate online after I get home from work!

I start my day with reading a paper copy.

Been reading hard copy for at least 30 years so its a hard habit to break. However, I'd like to answer "both" since I read other cities' papers online.

I'm an online reader for several reasons:

 

1) It's free....like the library books I read.

2) I don't have to worry about how to dispose of the paper afterward

3) I can read on my phone, or on my computer, when I have time. I usually log on several times a day to read because I rarely have the time to sit down and just commit to reading the newspaper.

4) It's updated throughout the day.

 

Newspapers I regularly read online are:

The Courier-Journal

The Grayson County News-Gazzette (although that's not much time at all and only publishes once a week)

The New York Times

 

I also read Time Magazine and Newsweek online.

I love the fact that I can read any paper online but to me the hard copy is the best.
