I don't think you can argue about the surrounding talent. All three of these guys have played for loaded teams. You can't support an argument that Eli had less talent.

The Giants had arguably the best offensive line in the NFL. There's absolutely no doubt that they had the best front four. In Plaxico Burress, Eli got to play with the best and most dynamic receiver among the three teams. He had a talented trio of RB's with complementary styles to hand the ball off to. What more could he ask for?

Big Ben, on the other hand, has a suspect offensive line, a team that struggles to run the ball, and no dominating WR on the outside. But, they do have a suffocating defense.

The Chargers have a lot of talent...supposedly. Rivers had played with a good o-line (not as much currently) and a HOF TE and RB. But, his receivers weren't that great until the last year or so. The Chargers defense was good and talented prior to injuries taking away two key pieces...Merriman and Williams.

I would argue that the biggest difference is management and coaching. Ben and Eli have the benefit of A+ staffs...great GM's and head coaches. Rivers on the other hand has AJ Smith and Norv Turner. Tell me who doesn't belong on that list.

I'd go Ben, Rivers and Eli, in that order. I can't put anyone but Roethlisberger at the top simply based on the fact that he has multiple Super Bowl rings.

Big Ben because of the jewelry.

HB20 is boycotting the Giants? What kind of fan does that?

No, I am sure his love of the G-men is as strong as ever, I just don't see him in the football talk as much anymore and I was trying to bait him...

Count up the Pro-Bowlers over their time in the league that each has played with.

Who has the most? Who has the least?

Again, Ben is the best- however why do others find the need to diminish one in praising another? All 3 of these QB's can play the game at a high level and are proving that their draft position was a great call by the franchises that selected them.

You realize the difference between a great catch (Holmes catching a perfect ball in the end zone with his hands) and a fluke (Tyree pinning the ball against his helmet), right?

Eli has a ring- Ben has two; each had their share of luck. To look at one players and say your ring is lucky while ignoring the other guys and saying you earned your two is ridiculous, IMO. You realize my point, right?

No one is trying to argue that the catch by Tyree wasn't incredibly timely and lucky; let's not pretend that Ben hasn't seen his share though, or try to diminish Eli's ring while forgeting that all champions get a break somewhere along the road.

You can try to argue that Eli had more talent, but I bet if you go back and count the pro-bowlers that Eli has had fewer teammates make it than Ben and Rivers.

I'm bored at work so here's how it breaks down. I'm only counting San Diego since 2006 when Rivers became the starter. Of course this is not counting the quarterbacks themselves being selected.

Pro-Bowlers

New York 12 players selected a total of 16 times, 3.2 per season.

Pittsburgh 12 players selected a total of 25 times, 5.0 per season.

Chargers 11 players selected a total of 19 times, 6.3 per season.

First or Second Team All-Pro

New York 10 players selected a total of 11 times, 2.2 per season.

Pittsburgh 9 players selected a total of 18 times, 3.6 per season.

San Diego 9 players selected a total of 14 times, 4.7 per season.

I think Rivers is better than the other two, clearly Big Ben has had more success but it's more a product of defense and some fortunate plays....Rivers has the most talent and the most skill, IMO.

Eli has a ring- Ben has two; each had their share of luck. To look at one players and say your ring is lucky while ignoring the other guys and saying you earned your two is ridiculous, IMO. You realize my point, right?

You made a direct comparison between Tyree's catch and Holmes' catch. There is no comparison. I realize everyone needs their share of luck. I merely think some were luckier than others, and in this case, Eli most definitely was. And I'll leave it at that.

Before the 2004 draft, I told my brother that I hope Ben falls to us, because I thought he would be the best of the bunch. He still wanted Eli, but he had not seen Ben play. I had seen just two of his games, but it was enough to me.

I also didn't think Rivers would be that good in the NFL, so I was wrong on that one. I think all three are elite QB, but I do think Big Ben is the best of the Bunch. I also think in 5 years, this class will rival the 83 class.
