We skipped an update today but will have one from his Maryland visit tomorrow. Just a little blurb before I go to bed:

 

- Tobias is staying up all night and leaving for Maryland at 5 a.m.

Tobias will likely go to Syracuse.

I have a good idea of where he's going, but I can't comment on that 1) because I actually like the kid after talking to him daily for 2 weeks and 2) I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my reputation for the future...

He made an unannounced "surprise" visit to Knoxville yesterday for the Tennessee game and to my knowledge, he has not returned home, yet.

 

There is also some potentially huge news that will be coming out today, so stay tuned...

Pinkston re-opened his recruitment, Harris stopped by there last night.... I think it's a good bet Harris will be a Vol.

 

Why? I don't know. He's talked about wanting to play the 3 and get ready for the NBA throughout his process. If that's what he is after, I'd have to ask how many pros has Pearl produced? Don't think about that one too long...

I sure wish we could and be rewarded because Tobias is a super talent and good kid. Cal and Kentucky just got in on him way too late I think. Its amazing Kentucky worked its way in so nicely in such a short time.

 

 

 

 

On the otherhand if we do miss this one like I expect (but hope not.)

 

 

It still looks pretty decent for Leslie, unless his buddies really get him pumped back up for staying home at NC State.

 

Terrence Jones is another guy were sitting in pretty good shape with. The biggest knock there is it is so far away from his home on the west coast. BUT, that hasn't stopped them from coming before and more than likely will not stop them from coming in the future.

 

 

As long as we get one of these two, and Orton comes back, we'll be just fine.

I'm forseeing a class of:

 

Poole

Selby/Knight (one or the other, not both)

Leslie/Jones (same as above)

unknown recruit

 

 

I doubt they get Lamb or Harris, but I guess it could happen...:idunno:

I was just referring to post guys. Cousins may not be ready to go but I'm sure he'll jump if he can. To get him for two years would be worth two 5 star post guys in itself, but doubt it happens.

I feel the same way about Cousins. I don't see him being ready to make the jump, but I do think he will. Orton is going to be solid and I see him possibly being at least a 3 year man. How does everyone feel about Patterson? Is it a forgone conclusion that he leaves? Chances are he does, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if he did stay for his senior year. I think it all depends on his play over the rest of the season.

He would be the rare type of kid that would, ala Tyler Hans. but since he is due to make his degree in three years I'd say this is the last year we get to enjoy Pat. No matter what.

Tobias Has Made His Decision

I've noticed when there are rumors in the recruiting world, more often than not they are true. If there are rumors of him being committed to Tennessee or Maryland, I'm going to say his choice is one or the other. These rumors just don't come out of no where.
