No shave November

Featured Replies

WOW, back in the day if we even thought about it, Brother Don would have given us a dry shave.

I am indeed surprised Principal Mr. Rowe allows it!

Boys will be boys!

But seriously, it seems a little strict to not allow it. Let them have some fun...

So, with this thread in mind, I was pondering my next shaving choices. Really, all I keep coming back to is losing all the beard, and being left with a thick, bushy mustache (which is easily pulled off right now).

I do have a few questions:

Will I look more like a porn star than a TV news anchor? Is that a problem either way?

Should I care?

Will I be mistaken, like PepRock, for a Civil War re-enactor?

Should I care? Should he?

Do I just cast aspersion to the wind and go for it, because I'm just cool like that and can get away with it? Or is the current beard too darned cool to give up?

I'm so confused.

Who knew my above questions would be so difficult for the board? :D

1) Either way, you're cool in my book.

2) Who doesn't like the civil war? It's extremely interesting.

3) Ask your wife/girlfriend.

and no you shouldn't care about anything that has to do with facial hair. It's easily fixable.

Fortunately I have broad shoulders to help with the burden of carrying around all that cool. :D

I like the idea of not shaving for a month. I am doing it and when my boss tells me to shave I'll tell him its no shave November .

Grizzly Adams DID have a beard :sssh:

Two days left, and I've still held out. The pornstache is coming soon, though ...

Just got done with it, and it's groovy in a very odd, red-haired Cheech Marin kinda way ... :D

For years I didn't shave in November. I usually didn't shave in December either and rocked a sweet beard for Christmas. Unfortunately I have to shave for my new job. I'm with you fine gentlemen in spirit though...

I've got a question concerning the elusive mustache. At what age is it socially acceptable to have a mustache ? I'm 24 and every time I shave I leave the stache for a few minutes. I look like an idiot, I just cant take myself seriously with a mustache.

It seems like 75% of the male population above the age of 35 rocks one though. :idunno:

If we're talking 'stache sans beard, never. It really just comes down to the idea that you really don't care what's socially acceptable. And I don't. At least, I think that's how my dad approaches it, because that's the look he's sported for, well, ever. :D
