Lincoln County finished 2-8 and are done for the season. Coach Settles sounded very relieved in the post game interview. This is a positive for them to build on in an otherwise dismal season.

Big win for LC, end the season on a high note. The wind was a big factor in the game. It was going to come down to who could win in the trenches, and LC's line dominated the line of scrimmage. Carrier and crew had a nice game running the ball for LC. Should of been a shutout, just a bad breakdown on a 70 middle screen to Ray. 4 missed tackes on that play alone.

 

LC returns a lot of players, and have a lot of young kids on the way up. People just need to stick with Coach Settles, he'll get it done.

Garrard will be fine. Coach Scenters is trying to completely change the attitude there and it is getting better. They finished #2 in their district and will get to host a playoff game next week. Having seen them play this year I can see the progress and within the next few years, they are going to be a very solid 3A team.

I think the coaches need their head examined when you have your best offensive weapon running plays in and out for the offense. He(Ray) is probably the second best offensive player in that area and the stats show last night he carried the ball 4 times. That is a joke. I was at the game last night and the offensive play calling was a joke too.

 

Good luck the remainder of the games, because they will need it with the play calling they had last night. What a joke!!!!

The bobble in the end zone didn't cost Garrard the game. It was the sorry play calling by the OC that cost them the game. Wonder what excuses the coach will make this week for not getting the ball to his best playmaker? They need to buy the coaching for dummies book and read it. They are a joke. What a joke this season has been for the Garrard players.

Lincoln should have a better year next year. T. Ray had a good game, he is a good football player! I am supervised he didn't get the ball more, but maybe they are saving him for the next game.. But the outcome of the game would have been the same.

LC averaged all they want on the ground. GC came no where near a shutout. LC, on the other hand, nearly had the shutout. One blown play.

 

How did a dropped pass effect them shutting LC out? And speaking of Ray, did the GC staff even know he was on the team. I couldn't believe they used him as decoy all night. That kid needs 20 touches a game. He is a talent. However, he isn't as fast as I thought. Calhoun easily ran him down on the screen, too bad he didn't tackle him and keep the shutout alive.

It's to late in the season to be trying to save someone, but that probably is the excuse the coach will use.

This was a great win for Lincoln football. We are on the way back to the top!! 3 games in 2 years, and 2 of those was against a 3A team. GO PATS!! And just think 2 years ago we were in the State Semifinals. Wow.
