Chad Ochocinco interview

Featured Replies

Got to interview Chad tonight on WKFC 101.9 for 10 to 15 minutes. I tweeted him to call and the man did.

It will be on the Internet http://www.wkfc.com tomorrow.

I must say, I'm no Bengals fan, but I am a Chad Johnson fan.

He is really not a bad guy at all, I never understood the dislike for the guy. He is a good caring guy, he plays hard, he produces, and he does want to win. Yeah he does like having attention, but seriously people make to much of a big deal about that. What does that really matter? It really means nothing at all.

Thanks, sorry about the wrong web site.:thumb:

Cool interview, I've always been a huge Ocho fan. I'm glad (thanks to social networking) that people are getting to see the real Chad this year. He is good dude, and one of the more personable, fan friendly professional athletes ever.

Do a lot of Bengal fans still dislike this guy?

I didn't like him at one point, but I have changed that opinion. He's great...

Prior to last season he was loved, then they sucked it up in '08 and he had a bad season/attitude and fans were fed up. Personally, I've met him during a few autograph sessions and he seems like a very genuine man. Since he's become a bit more mellow, and he's producing once again, I bet it's hard to find very many who don't like him. One thing is certain, he's a diva but he's a diva that can walk the talk.

I think Hard Knocks was an opportunity for everyone to see him how he is really. He is just a big, good natured kid. Sometimes he may throw a temper tantrum of sorts (like when he wanted to get out) but I really can't blame him in regards to how he felt at the time.

I also think it is funny that Bengals fans were harder on him than on TJ who whined just as hard to get out.

He seemed genuine and a good sport in the interview with Les and Larry.

I remember a lot of people turning on him in 2007. Since they Bengals were not really winning, people started disliking him even though he was just doing the same thing as always. I think that is one of the other reasons to what led him to acting like he did before the 2008 season.

I think the big difference between Chad and TJ was that everything CHad did was about drawing attention to himself and gave the impression it was ALL ABOUT CHAD!!!! Including the changing of his name.

TJ may have been very similar in a lot of regards but was low keyed about it. And it did not come across that he wanted this to be the TJ show.

Chad, it seemed, was about it being the TJ show.

Similar to Steve Smith who is complaining about the Panthers winning and him not being the reason they are winning.

I think, overall, he is still well liked by die hard fans. When you go to a game there are a lot of #85 jerseys being worn.

It all comes down to how the Bengals are doing. If the Bengals are just doing so-so like they were in 2007 people will start to turn on him again, and say just shut up Chad. When the Bengals are winning though, most people seem to love him and say its just Chad being Chad. People just need to realize Chad wants attention, he loves it. However just because he loves attention doesn't mean he doesn't want to win. Except for last season, he always comes in every season ready to play, and produces.

To be fair, he was hurt last year and probably should've not played a lot of those games.
