The scores of those two games....especially the Eminence had everything to do with field conditions and in house mistakes. They dont tell the whole story.....Frankfort is on the right track and Trimble will do good to sniff the endzone.....

 

Frankfort looks like they have a pretty stout defense. Who are the playmakers for Trimble? Can they be successful against a stout Frankfort D?

Trimble is not too bad, The only game that baffles me is the Emminence score. I think FHS has gotten better and will handle them late in the game.

Don't let the Gallitan and Eminence games fool you, trust me Frankfort is a whole different ball team when they are on their home field. And IMO they will be playing home for the rest of the season and playoffs until Bowling Green () this one should get pretty ugly from the get go. With Trimble County knowing Frankfort struggled early on with Eminence and Gallitan they will expect Frankfort to come out flat, Trimble takes Frankfort's last 2 games for a weakness and underestimates them early and it will come back to bite them.

 

Frankfort has a good chance to make this a blow-out and go deep into the playoffs, things are clicking well.

The way Frankfort played last week on offense, they better get it in gear or they will be home during the playoffs watching instead of playing.

This game could play out a number of different ways, I think.

 

I'm really impressed by the direction Coach Collins has Trimble heading, but I'm afraid Frankfort is on a different level than the Raiders in one key category: speed.

Dang, thats a pretty strong statement after Frankfort only beat Eminence 14-0 and Gallatin by a couple scores. You think Trimble is a lot worse than those 2 teams? They did lose to both of them.

 

When you have high hope for Frankfort like I do you expect nothing less.

The only reason I feel Frankfort can put up 40 is for the simple fact it's at home. You are correct, Frankfort needs a lot of improvement to score 40, but I have a good feeling since this one is at home besides miles away.

I've always felt first-year coaches need the time to implement "their system" with their new team. Coach Collins was further hampered by the fact that he wasn't hired too quickly after the vacancy appeared...he didn't really get to put his stamp on much of the off-season program.

 

Some new coaches inherit a tremendous amount of experienced talent and the team is farther along...they can pick up on the new system quicker and adapt to / succeed with it quickly. Trimble didn't have all that many seniors last year, I think, but they lost some critical cogs: Larry Sullivan (starting QB and top rusher with 1,156 yards and 13 of the team's 18 rushing TDs) and Aunner Posas (30 receptions, 489 yards, 2 TDs) were critical skill position losses as they took away the top passer, top rusher, and #2 receiver.

 

Trimble started 1-4; they've since won 2 of 3 to move to 3-5. That early start, in which the coach and players were undoubtedly still adjusting to each other, also included two top 10 3A teams in Henry County and North Oldham. During the most recent three games, Trimble is averaging over 30 ppg.

 

Another measure of improvement: The 2008 Raiders gave up an average of 27 ppg; this year's edition is giving up just 19.5 ppg...

 

All in all, the results would seem to indicate that the Raiders are coming along nicely...
