October 18, 200916 yr How does the OSU treatment of the last few years feel, go out and win but still get questioned all year? I don't think UC goes undefeated, and if they do I know it is likely they will be left out of the title game. I'm just enjoying the ride and having fun pointing out flawed logic along the way. And for anyone wondering, Pike's arm is doing a lot better than expected and there is a pretty good chance he'll be back out there for the UL game or at worst the next one at Cuse...
October 18, 200916 yr Then I guess USC isn't that good either since they barely beat OSU and ND.... you could go on all day about teams who aren't "that' good. I'm sorry, but a loss at Washington should hurt them. Their best argument is they didn't have their starting QB. I'd agree w/ that. I think USC is better than UC, but they don't deserve to be ranked in front of them. If there was a playoff I'd think USC has a better chabce at the title, but w/ the current setup UC deserves to be in front of them.

I only think they won't go undefeated b/c it's so hard. I really think they're better than everyone left on the schedule. The injury may help them focus.
October 19, 200916 yr Yep, and Notre Dame isn't that good either. I'm not saying UC is that great, but their resume is as good as anyone in the top 5. Are you serious?
October 19, 200916 yr Are you serious? Make a case for someone better than road wins at South Florida and Oregon St. Boise has the only impressive win and it was home. Bama beat Va Tech but they're 1 minute away from having 3 losses.

October 19, 200916 yr Not yet... Don't you think it would be smart to hold him out of the Uof L game. They can handle the Cards without him and not risk hurting it more in a game they should win easily anyway?
October 19, 200916 yr Don't you think it would be smart to hold him out of the Uof L game. They can handle the Cards without him and not risk hurting it more in a game they should win easily anyway? If they don't have to go in and readjust the plate in his arm, then it's just a matter of if he can catch a shotgun snap. If he can do that with no problem, I think you play him...

If he can do that with no problem, I think you play him... I think he'll be able to do that with 1 and a half arms. He should, at least. As long as St. Louis isn't under center.
October 19, 200916 yr As to the question I'd love to see the game. Right now, even with Pike, I'd be forced to take OSU.
October 19, 200916 yr I think he'll be able to do that with 1 and a half arms. He should, at least. As long as St. Louis isn't under center. When it first happened last year the only real problem was his arm would go numb from time to time if the snap hit his left palm in a certain spot. I'd assume that's the same concern once again...
October 19, 200916 yr If Pike attempts 50 passes... meaning OSU offense can't stay on the field at all. Eventually BK will find a way to score probably more than once and UC wins. If the OSU offense can sustain drives the D would would probably do enough to win but they can't be on the field all day.
October 19, 200916 yr Latest update from UC... Pike’s left (non-throwing) arm has been placed in a cast. He was at practice today and participated. He will continue to practice this week and be evaluated by both the coaching and medical staffs.

I think you are selling your guys a little bit short. I dont see anyone beating them in the regular season. Brian Kelly is amazing, as is Tony Pike.
