I just think hes trying to make something out of nothing with a rules violation that is going on all over the country and is something that UK officials have no control over.

I'm not a UK fan, and when I read the article, I didn't get this undertone at all. I honestly expected some sort of pointed, explicit shots at the UK Big Blue Madness, or the program, or something. There was nothing at all like that in the article, to my surprise. Honestly, it sounds like some fans have a persecution complex. :idunno:
October 20, 200917 yr I haven't read this article, but I've never felt like Tipton was Debbie Downer. Mark Story is the guy I don't like. And, there's no way Tipton is as bad. Story spent the better part of 3 years ripping Rich Brooks to shreds...it's funny, because he'll write comments about UK's "unrealistic" fan base, when he was as guilty as any with his expectations for and treatment of Rich Brooks early in his tenure. I've only said it about 100 times on here, but I'm not a Mark Story fan. I really wish the Herald-Leader had someone better in his place. Someone like a.... Chuck Culpepper would be nice.

I've noticed a lot of that going on over the past few years. It seems as if "KY fans" are held to a double standard, even by other KY fans mind you.

You are dead on! Mark Story is by far the worst. Jerry Tipton can't hold a candle to Story. He wants every coach that coaches a bball or fball at UK or UL fired at one time or another.
