mobaar Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 How are you arrested only for resisting arrest? Wouldn't they have to be arresting you already before you could resist it?
LRCW Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I bet they are dreading the Pitino discipline speech.:lol:
TheDeuce Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 how are you arrested only for resisting arrest? wouldn't they have to be arresting you already before you could resist it? Only thing I can come up with is that they weren't cooperative with the cops who showed up, and they decided to arrest them.
ColonelCrazy Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Bad news for Louisville. It seems to keep piling on. Although I'm not a Louisville fan, I'll wait to see what happens before passing judgment. Seems like they could have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time. What is "Kye's"?

It's two buildings just across the river in Indiana. Lot's of parties are thrown there. It's not "shady" at all. Doesn't say they were involved in the fight, so we'll see how it plays out.
LRCW Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Roll your eyes all you want Deuce. How could the players take such a speech seriously from Pitino?
TheDeuce Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 Roll your eyes all you want Deuce. How could the players take such a speech seriously from Pitino? Because regardless of what most people think, college kids don't care that he cheated on his wife...
LRCW Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Because regardless of what most people think, college kids don't care that he cheated on his wife... They may not care, but they see that he doesn't have discipline in his marriage. When a dad smokes and he tells his kids that he better never catch them smoking, what do you think his kids are going to think?

When a dad smokes and he tells his kids that he better never catch them smoking, what do you think his kids are going to think? Apples & oranges, LRCW. These college kids are turning to Pitino as a springboard to the NBA. He knows what it takes to get them there, and they're going to listen. Although he may not make great personal decisions, he has a lot to offer them, both personally & athletically. With that said, I do think it'll make for a very awkward discussion.
Wireman Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Roll your eyes all you want Deuce. How could the players take such a speech seriously from Pitino? We may disagree on the FG, but I'm with you on this one. How could the players ever take Pitino seriously? He hasn't exactly been a beacon of light.

When a dad smokes and he tells his kids that he better never catch them smoking, what do you think his kids are going to think? They respect Pitino for BASKETBALL. They didn't decide to come to Louisville because he had a sterling marriage... And you're implying that Smith and Jennings did something wrong by your question. Let's wait to see how this plays out before we start dishing out blame.

Couldn't have said it better myself. :thumb:

No doubt that Pitino is a great coach, but if you think that his discipline speech is going to have the same effect on them coming from him, then I think you're mistaken.
