October 10, 200916 yr I either read in Forbes or Sports Illustrated that Louisville is the largest city in the country (population wise & drawing wise) that does not have a professional sports team in at least one of the 4 major sports leagues. I would say this and a new arena would go along way in getting an existing team to relocate in the future.
October 10, 200916 yr If I could get lower arena season tickets , I'd drive two hours to every game in Lexington. I would most likely buy season tickets, or some variation, as well.
October 10, 200916 yr 41 home dates split between 2 or 3 "home" sites, may I remind you of the old Kansas City-Omaha Kings. Didn't work then, probably won't work now. Louisville and Lexington could do it as far as seating, but Cincy would have to have a new arena and like I said in my previous post, it ain't gonna happen financially in that city. The arena isn't big enough, but I think The Bank Of Kentucky Center would draw a capacity crowd for 12 - 15 games.

US Bank Arena seats about 12,000 or so, Bank of KY Center right at 10,000, how do you justify 10 or 15 dates at a smaller site? Just because it's newer dosen't mean it can handle an NBA game any better than the Arena on the other side of the river.

They could have ceremonies celebrating their only ABA Championship, and retiring Louie Dampier's, Dan Issel's, and Artis Gilmore's numbers. I used to listen to the Colonels and Royals on the radio growing up.

If the rotating venue has a chance, the same people have to have an interest in it. No way Cincinnati will consent to something and give 2/3 of it to Kentucky. Even if it would make sense for them $$-wise (and I'm not sure that it would.)

It would be whatever the owner of the franchise would deem the best money maker, and that would be Louisville and Lexington. I could see maybe a couple of pre-season games being played in Cincy though.
October 10, 200916 yr Lexington already has Big Blue Nation and couldnt support a Pro team. Cinncinati could maybe support a team, but they already have 2 and the attendance for both teams is suffering. Also where would you put the stadium? Plus ohio has Cleveland Cavs and I just dont think they could do it. :cry:
