Protecting QB's

Featured Replies

I agree with the intent of protecting the cash cows (QBs) of the league - all of them.

This particular call was beyond weak.

These rules of "protection" have about ruined my fun watching sports. Its way overboard.

Reason's you are wrong per this visual evidence:

1) It's Terrell Suggs not Ray Lewis. So no Lewis didn't try to end it for him.

2) He was pushed by the linemen and falling.

3) Even while falling, he makes contact with his right leg. He could've easily gone full force into both legs if he wanted to end his career.

Suggs tried to end his career then, tomatoe tomata. I didn't make the rules man, I'm sorry if you don't agree with them.

Which is exactly the way the NFL views it. Thank you for proving me right.

Doesn't everybody view it that way? Does anyone think Carson Palmer is better than Tom Brady?

No, I'm a Carson fan and will tell you Brady os better. However to protect Brady more simply for his playing ability which is exactly what I was saying is wrong.

Well that's like, your opinion man.

What aren't you understanding? It's not just my opinion. It dates back all the way to when our country first said all men are created equal. You CANNOT protect someone more just for their playing ability. Just like you couldn't for race, gender, etc.

You protect your assets. Tom Brady, along with Peyton Manning, are the two biggest assets the NFL has regarding individual players. They'd be crazy if they didn't take measures to protect those guys, IMO.

The last thing they want is another Jim McMahon/Mark Gastineau.

Agree to Disagree.

Brady might be the only QB in the league that can squeeze the ball through those tight spaces...

A $5,000.00 fine for someone that got blocked into the QB? I know that's a drop in the bucket to this guy, but c'mon.
