Looks like another close Boyle Co. vs. _________ poll this week. I think Boyle wins but I'm not going to predict a blowout because of the tradition LC always brings to the table. They may be down a bit this year, but I still expect them to put up an admirable fight. Boyle better be ready to play.

I remember back when Boyle won 5 straight championships, coach Smith always tried to get some practice time on the carpet.

 

Boyle practices daily on grass or mud this week, and they are acustomed to playing on a less than perfect field.

It's raining like crazy! Does the rain help either team?

 

IMO hear are some of my keys on a wet field tonight.

 

1. It hurts McShara's running style.

Reese will be limited to the cuts that we have seen in the past, that went for touchdowns.

 

2. Line Play.

I know nothing about Catholic's size on the line, I do know that Boyle is not big. On a field without footing, the bigger person usually wins.

 

3. It helps a great passing team.

A passing team that has time patterns are at a avantage because they know where the ball is going. It hurts the defense becase they can not break on the ball as soon as they could on a dry field.

 

 

This is going to be a very close game in my eyes tonight. Never under estimate Lexington Catholic!
