IMO Lamar is going to have a very big game rushing the ball tonight and I'm still saying Catholic is going to be "One French Fry short of a Happy Meal" when it's all said and done.

Breaking News: Boyle's game with Lexington Catholic still on for Friday - so far

As of 3 p.m. today, the Boyle County-Lexington Catholic Class AAAA district football game scheduled to be played here at 7:30 p.m. was still set to be played.

 

Boyle officials asked that the game be delayed until Saturday night because of safety concerns. "Our field is under water and it's still raining with the threat of a storm coming in," said Boyle coach Larry French. "But they (Lexington Catholic) said they could not get buses to come over Saturday. They are willing to play tonight no matter what the field is like and if we have to wait out weather (lightning) delays. From a safety standpoint, it would be a lot better to play tomorrow. The field would still be wet, but it would not be as dangerous."

 

French said Boyle officials are continuing to try and persuade Catholic to delay the game.

 

"Both sides have to agree before you can do postpone the game," French said.
