Brio's on the Levee

Pompilios has been mentioned. How would you rank them compare to Brios? Do they compare? I have never been to Brios, and well Pompilios is iconic in Newport.

You would be comparing a McRib sandwich to Montgomery Inn ribs. Pompilios is a great place for family dinning. I personally think they are a little too proud of their food for what they charge versus what they used to charge.

That being said, bring your banker to Brio's with you, but the dining experience will be much better. It's a shame the outdoor patio will be a little damp tonight!

I'm more about the food than the experience. If I'm bringin the banker, the food better be out of this world.

I've eaten there once and all I have to say is it took over an hour for my family and I to recieve our food and when we did, it wasn't cooked the way we wanted it to be. I believe my son and I got a rib eye of some sort that was supposed to be cooked well. It was bloodred on the inside and I didn't want to send it back because I didn't want the rest of my family to wait to eat any longer!

Maybe it was just a bad experience but I don't have a high opinion of the place...

Family dining vs. fine dining.

Brio's overpriced go to Pompilio's up the street. JD
Pompilios is wayyyy overpriced for the portions you get !!

Sportsfan, did you try Brio's this weekend? Need to hear your review!

Was at Brio's on Saturday night. We had reservations, but had to wait 45 minutes when we arrived. They comped us an appetizer ($13) We had a grilled chicken bruscheta which was excellent. Our service was great as always and the food was excellent. I reccomend the filet, but my wife would go for any pasta dish.
