Back on track here. Hartline is AWFUL with a capital awful! He was scared to death and ready to throw/run before his protection even broke down. Numerous bad passes before this game was out of hand. Whether or not Florida had 6 million yards offensively has nothing to do with the the intangeables Hartline isn't showing/doing. There were several plays where all he had to do was play pitch and catch with his receivers.

Defensively Micah Johnson plays well. I love to see a homegrown Kentucky boy play well! I questioned his decision to come to UK from the get go, for the sake of his own future. He could definately be one of the top defensive perimeter guys in SEC. But UK will hold back that type of exposure behind nasty losses in games like tonight.

Micah isn't home grown. He played two, maybe, three years at Fort Campbell. He is from Virginia.

However, there is no excuse for their play in the first quarter and definitely not starting the game with two penalties.

Speaking with a few people from Bama tonight, there is some thought that Bama is better than Florida or as good defensively and can throw the ball better than UF.

 

Rumor has it they are flying in Verne Lundquist, Chris Fowler, and Lee Corso to Tim Tebow's bedside.

There was also some rumors that even though Tebo was going to the hospital, he was driving the ambulance.

I think UK will ride with #5 for the next few games. I'm not sure if they're convinced using Newton or Mossakowski is worth the loss of a year of eligibility.

They have to start rolling the pocket for Hartline. He is not good enough to make his progressions quickly, and he is not good enough on the long out throws.

He rarely steps up in the pocket and is reluctant to run.

I've been saying for a long time Micah is out of position way too often, he makes more tackles 10 yards down field than any linebacker in the SEC...

Micah is a little overrated and you better have fast LB in the middle if you are in a 4-3 against the Florida spread.

It's mental. Kentucky knows they are beat before they ever take the field. It's the same with Tennessee.

Yea I'd say the majority of any player who plays for Ft Campbell isn't likely to have been born in KY. However anyone that plays HS in KY I consider to be a home grown talent. Micah Johnson I believe was MR. Football as a Soph in West Virginia though.

Aside from the 1st Quarter. We didn't play that bad, but man that first quarter was ugly. I agree that I can't feel too sorry for Florida for TEbows injury. Injuries are part of the game.
