These are the type of players Miami thrives with...guys who embrace the expectations instead of playing the PC game and feigning humbleness. I like it....when Miami does it. :lol:

Yeah, the "U" is a different place. It doesn't have tradition in the sense that Bama or USC. Things are just different.

Jacory understands that and embraces that. He says that he doesn't watch tape on his opponents as much as he does on his team and himself. That's Miami swagger.

 

The "U" really doesn't care how good their opponents are or what they do. It's about the Green and Orange executing their gameplan to perfection. He is a prime example of what a Miami player is suppose to be, and I think it has showed so far this season. Few had the U going 2-0, no one gave them a chance at going 4-0 either, but this team is playing at a very high level, and it's amazing that after 3 weeks they would be thought of as a potential title contender. It's amazing with this early schedule (only the third time in history that a team has started off against 4 ranked teams) that a group of sophomores could play at this level.

 

This is a big IF, but if the Canes win out he has to be and will be the Heisman.

I don't think so. It's not disrespecting your opponent, it's focusing on what you do best and knowing that you are going to take care of business. And then it's actually going out and doing it.

 

Shannon is a life-long Cane, he knows what he's doing. You don't see Miami doing different things depending on the opponent. They just play their style.

Like I said this is a team that is easy to like unlike many of the other Canes teams. I think if this group can bring a title home in the next few years they will be the most revered group in Canes history, just because they have brought the "U" back at a time when our most hated (I can't say rival, because they refuse to play us) opponent UF is on top of the world.

I'm on it. Though I admittedly jump on and off The U bandwagon from time-to-time.

That's why I've always enjoyed the U.

I would hope he's kidding. I can't imagine that many of the older African Americans in this country would appreciate him perpetuating a stereotype.

Obviously they do prepare very well. Holding GT to less than 100 yards rushing means that you have scouted them very well.

I'm not saying that. Shannon would say that Miami has to get better and be focused on being better. He would also say they have to prepare for those teams.

 

I'm not really arguing either way. It's the U, do your job and you won't get beat.

Harris might win the Heisman next year. Ofcourse he would need Terrel Pryor to break his femur for that to happen but we will see. However that probably won't happen and OSU will be holding the NC trophy and Heisman trophy after next year.
