McCaden had 245 yds & 1 TD on 34 carries and was one of the lone bright spots for Bryan Station in a losing effort at Henry Clay. HC is a good team and loaded the box and he still rushed for a 7.2 yd average.

No problem. I guess I just wish the posts wouldn't turn into a "my guy is better than your guy because........" kind of conversation. They are both extremely talented football players when they have the ball in their hands and they both do different things on the field for their team's success. They are both deserving and are easily bona fide candidates(if not the top 2) for Mr. Football. When I began posting on BGP about Rees' accomplishments on the field, all I wanted for him to be mentioned with the top 5 players in the state, because I think he clearly is. I would like to think that I have helped earn him some recognition, but Rees has done all the work to receive the recognition he truly deserves. I am just a proud fan watching and I enjoy watching him play and then being able to come home and share the great times with fellow Rebel fans here on BGP.:thumb:

 

What can I say, I love Rees MacShara. He's easily my favorite Boyle County Rebel football player ever.

 

I know it is to easy to support our guys, but I am actually trying to look for stuff on some of the other candidates. I want to see what they can do on both sides of the ball. I know this is not a requirement, but IMO the best football player would most likely be someone that does more than just one position, or at least brings more than one dimension to the game in some way. This is why I always ask for defensive stats as well. I would also like to see how many quarters these young men are playing too, it helps put the stats into perspective, as does the qualitiy of teams that they are playing.

 

Until I can see something to change my mind, I will be rooting for Antonio, just as everyone else will be going for their guy until they have a reason to look at someone else.
