I think Warren Central will be a much better game, don't be sandbagging now.

Also, #73 was retired by the team tonight in memory of Tim Williams. The Falcons are doing a gret job so far in a season dedicated to their fallen teammate. Congratualtions to the Falcons and my prayers continue to go out to the entire Williams Family and Falcon Football community over the loss of a great son, player and friend.

 

That is awesome:thumb: Still in our prayers here in Bell County. PT looks like they are still having problems. FC looks to be making another title run congrats and good luck rest of the season.

Another big win for an outstanding program. Feel that Fort Campbell is the class of 2A and one of the better teams in whole state. Andrews should be in the mix for MR. Football. Hope that Monroe Co. Falcons can make it to play FC again.

Like FC said, I think it'll be a much better game than last night, should be a tough game by all acounts (5A 4-1 Warren Central V 2A 5-0 Fort Campbell).

 

As far as last night's game goes. I don't concern myself with individual efforts, football is a team sport. I'm glad that there's an opportunity for Andrews to be in the running for Fort Campbell.....but I want this team to win state and for nobody to really worry about the individual accolades, but they're kids and that's what they do.

 

So, as a team, the Fort Campbell Falcons played very well. Less penalties than normal which means good things. 21 points in the first minute of the game is pretty impressive even if it took them a bit longer to get the next score.

 

Defense really set the pace with Januchowski's interception (way to go with that laser light, I'm glad you caught it this time!) and the fumble recovery in the end zone.

 

This team looks every bit as good as last season's team, but the later games will really define them.

 

On a personal note, the retiring of my son's #73 jersey really means a lot to me and my wife. Tim was a big part of Fort Campbell Football, having played sports on Fort Campbell since he was four years old and giving up all other sports to play football by the time he was seven. We used to go to Fryar Stadium on Friday nights and watch the Falcons as Micah ran roughshod over helpless teams, only to have the team come up short in the post-season. Tim was so glad to be part of back to back titles for this team and I know he's lookin' down right now......happy. Many thanks to Coach Berner and the Falcon administration for keeping the honor of my son's memory alive.

Don't think FC is looking past Warren Central - biggest game of the season to date. You guys have a pretty good thing going this year.

Not sandbagging guys, I just have a healthy respect for the two time champs. WC is improved, but I just don't think they'll ultimately hang with Fort Campbell.

Honestly I agree...WC has a good program but IMO they are not of the same caliber that FC is going to bring to them. I hope it is a good game for FC because they have not had a real tough opponent as of yet. Their district is down so they will not have any problems until regional play and I am not sure they will have any problems then. Remember, just my opinion!!!

Never. And I talked with Donny Caver today and he said the same thing. I remember seeing three TDs in 1:10 by both teams but never by one team and at the start of the game to boot. I'm thinking this season may be shaping up as a "big fish" season.

Like the old saying about “death and taxes” there are very few things in life that are guaranteed. While Fort Campbell is the favorite in class 2A, there is no such thing as a “lock”. There is still a lot of football to be played, I’m sure they appreciate the confidence though.

Not Scribe, but I did witness 21 in less then a minute once. Raceland vs Lewis County, somewhere around 2002, I believe. Returned Opening kick off for TD, Lewis fumbled on first offensive play, Raceland scored on first offensive play, then I think Raceland returned the next kick off for a TD. It's a little scetchy, but I think that is right.

 

But, a great accomplishment, nonetheless.
