Conner has looked pretty good so far this season for the most part, anyone think they are the favorite to win the district? Personally, my vote goes to Ryle.

Conner played 3 good schools in the last 5 weeks just as in the pros its preseason play, now comes the time to play some football this is really what counts, I think if they make the Pioneers pass the ball and stop the run they will come out on top

Correct. Roenker is scheduled to have surgery over the winter. The recovery may last a week or two into the baseball season.

 

Interesting. Way off topic here, but that would greatly affect Holy Cross' baseball season if he doesn't recover fully or as quickly as expected. Best of luck to him.

I wouldn't say that, but point proven that the non-conference schedule is even weaker then people realize. I think they are plenty ready for the conference schedule though IMO. I also think Conner will win the district! Write it down.:ylsuper:

I don't need to write it down. I just have to remember this bold prediction until Saturday. I look for the Cougars to be 0-1 in district Saturday morning since the game is at SK.

If NKY 6A is as even as a lot of people think, we could have one of those crazy tiebreaker scenarios. The weak schedule won't help Conner if that's the case.

 

Holy Cross will end up helping Conner in a tie-breaker. Dixie doesn't matter since SK/Conner/Ryle all beat them.

Love when a thread about one game goes into another. Looks like there is a lot of anticipation for the Conner vs. SK game. The smack has already started. This is why they play they games. Can't wait till Friday night. District games always have a little different feel to them.

Maybe. If CCH keeps improving, Ryle's win over them will be a nice plus. And if Ryle could somehow pull off a huge upset over HHS the last game of the season, it would absolutely lock up any 3-way tie.

That's at large "if", however I could see it happening if Highlands is resting some guys for their playoff run.
