Should be a top five team in Northern Kentucky but have some questions.

Replacing a 3 year starter at the PG position in Ahern. Does McLeish move to the point and if he does move to the point does that take away from his opportunities to score?

Are the other options at the point like Stinson, Mullins or Perkins ready to take over?

Is Nichols going to play his senior year or just focus on getting ready to play PAC 10 football?

Stauffer is a nice player and could develop into a top 10 player in Northern Kentucky along with McLeish.

Coleman had a really nice summer shooting the basketball and if he continues to shoot like that for Ryle that would give them a nice inside-outside ability to score the basketball.

I think McLeish will do fine at the point. I saw him play this summer and he did fine.

I like Ryle's team. 3 really good weapons plus a strong presence in the middle.

I don't see Nichols playing this year. I would think that he would continue working on his strength and not taking the chance of getting injured playing basketball.

He's got a big time Division 1 scholarship to play football at Stanford, he has nothing to gain by playing basketball.

He may suprise me and play this winter, if he does good luck to him. He is a great kid.

Ryle should be able to field a solid starting five (if Coleman & Nichols come back from football). I think their biggest question will be their depth and maintaining solid guard play aside from McLiesh.

I had heard that Coleman was playing football; what made him decide to do that his senior year in high school? He was a very good player in middle school but had not played since.

Do you think that there is a possibility that he will not return to basketball?

Really like the Stauffer kid alot. He has lots of upside and will be fun to watch the next couple of seasons. If someone steps up and becomes a solid PG for this team, then IMO they can be really good. I have my reservations about McLeish being the point?? I look for Ryle to battle it out with Conner for a regional berth.

He's playing basketball. Just wanted to give football one more go before high school was over. He's doing very well on the defensive line, BTW.

That's great! Coleman is too good a player to stop playing basketball. I'm sure he is doing well in football because he is a good athelete. From what someone posted earlier, I thought he may not be coming back to the court. I'm glad the previous poster's possible assumption was incorrect.

Not sure who everyone has returning in that district but Conner is going to have some issues this year without Avery. They are going to have to find someone to score the basketball on a consistent basis.

They have some good young talent coming up.

I have been told that Conner may be better without Avery than with due to team chemistry. Came from a very reliable source close to the program. DO NOT misconstrue here, I believe Avery is a VERY good basketball player.

Who are the potential starters for Ryle?

This board probably isn't the place to air others' dirty laundry about a high school kid.

In full agreement with you. Post was not meant to say ONE negative thing about anyone. Like I said, I did not want the post to be misconstrued. Should of just found a better way to say that Conner should be competitive this year with losing an impact player. Let me make if very clear, Avery is a great kid and a VERY good basketball player who should have a very positive impact at Holmes. Was not trying to air any dirty laundry.
