Comments like these made me post about the Kool Aid! You beat 2 awful teams and people are talking about a state championship!

That's what I was thinking. It wasn't long ago Bourbon was the "awful" team losing to teams who shouldn't "brag." I'm happy to see the success of Bourbon County and Johnny Poynter. They may not win a state title this season, but I see nothing wrong with excitement over success - it's long overdue.

What's important is whether Bourbon improves in their district. You come in third/fourth in district still in same boat.

I need to correct my mistake. Bourbon finished third in their district and played at Lexington Catholic in the first round. Pendleton County finished fourth and lost to Boyle. Sorry!

Unfortunately the Bourbon squad will have to deal with this mentality from here on out. Forget the fact that they have already 2/3rds of what they did last year in considerably less time. No matter what they do, it will always be they played a weak team or somebody is not good this year. Not that they have worked hard and are continuing to work hard to get better and improve.

 

How about we applaud a group of young men that are finally getting to taste a little success. And right now the flavor of the kool-aid is grape!!!!:dancingpa

These Boys in BoCo have really worked their tails off this year and I agree with gridIronWarrior it doesnt matter who we beat people will always say they are weak this year or they are down. Ill be looking forward to what people have to say when we beat the Royals friday night. I guess it will be another team that is just down.
