America's Got Talent

Featured Replies

The drum players are too much like the Blue Man Group to me. They are entertaining, but my top 3 are Kevin Skinner, the 3 kids, and The Texas Tenors. The kids could be major gospel stars right now, the Tenors could fill the gap in country that will be left when Brooks and Dunn call it quits, and if you aren't pulling for Skinner, then shame on you.

I think Skinner gets a record deal out of all this, but I don't think he'll win the show. He has gained a huge following since the show, and fans=money. But IMO he has gone down hill every week since his first performance. Last night's performance was pretty hard for me to watch because it was not good at all.

The drummers remind me of Stomp, they're good, but I've seen that before. The Texas Tenors are too cheesy for me, and Grandma Lee just isn't funny.

I think Barbara Padilla wins it on Wednesday.

I think the Texas Tenors will win. Of course they are cheesy, but like Piers said last night, Vegas is cheesy! I can completely see them performing for over an hour at a show and people paying to watch them. I'm for the Ky boy as much as anyone, in fact his daughter that they showed last night goes to school with my son, but I'm sorry, Kevin Skinner was flat as a pancake last night. I would have loved to hear him sing some Randy Travis, maybe "Forever and Ever, Amen" or something like that. I thought last night was easily his worst performance of the show.

Barbara Padilla is easily the most talented in the competition-that voice!- but I don't think she will win. If I were her, I would've gone away from the classical stuff last night and maybe sang something like Mariah's "Vision of Love" just to show she has the versatility. She definitely has the octave range of early Mariah and I think it would've been neat to see her do something different for the finale. JMHO.

I can see your point, but often times, America is not voting for a Las Vegas-style talent (as apparently we should be) but rather on who is more talented, or who pulls at our heartstrings.

I agree that it would have been nice to see Padilla do something more mainstream, and I think if anything, that may be what kills her chances. Opera isn't exactly a huge draw.

The Texas Tenors may very well fit Vegas, but they have never impressed me and it's not something I would pay to see.

I love Kevin Skinner's story, but his voice is not even average. His best performance was the first one where his guitar picking was the focus rather than just his voice.

The Texas Tenors are ok. I can see them in Vegas, but more for their looks than for their blend.

The 3 kids really did well last night. I'd say Bill Gaither will add them to his next video.

Grandma Lee is not that funny and cursing doesn't help her act in my opinion, but I hope I have that much spunk at age 75.

The lady opera singer is by far the most talented in my opinion.

The next Barry White was also best in his first performance. Since Old Man River he's been unimpressive.

The cloggers are good and together, but I'll be surprised if clogging can win the competition.

The drummers also remind me of Stomp - the water on top of the barrels last night especially. I do think they are different enough to win though.

Oh, and the other solo singer... is terrible. Good looking guy, but can't sing a lick.

Just my opinion.

I thought Kevin Skinner was way off last night. Simon Cowell would have eaten him alive unemployed chicken catcher or not. I feel embarrassed for Grandma Lee. Just not funny. The drummers were the best IMO.

I'm pulling for Skinner, even though I know he isn't the most talented out of the bunch.

I agree with statements earlier - this was, by far, his worst performance.

His voice reminds me of Randy Travis too, and I think he would have helped himself with a true country song that Randy has done.

Where in KY is Skinner from?

My pick is the drummers to win it all.

My only shocker is that Drew Stevens did not make the top 5.

Shakira.....:taz::ylsuper::banana::notworthy: :cool:

 Take a cold shower. :D
