The Enquirer Northern Kentucky poll came out yesterday and had Simon Kenton taking 1 first place vote away from Highlands. I'll bet most of you are flipping out of your computer chairs on that one!

Mex, if you are going to play that game, then Highlands was a dropped pass in the end zone away from another touchdown (we got zero points out of that drive); and a slip by Bardo as he was setting up to throw a pass to a wide open Buten away from another touchdown (we got zero points out of that drive too when we missed the field goal); and a pass that went through a running back's hands on a screen that resulted in an interception deep in Ryle's territory from turning a nice margin of victory into a complete blow out. You can't really take into account miscues from one team that cost them points and ignore those of the other team.

 

I realize that Highland's receiver dropped a pass for a TD. The point wasn't to nitpick the miscues of each team, both teams missed huge opportunities. It was meant to show that Ryle played as close to Highlands as I believe any team in NKY can this year.

Scrimmage or not Dixie did not look anywhere close to a top 5 team against Ryle, maybe they're better now I'm not sure, time will tell.

I think Boone will play Highlands as tough as Ryle. No chance of beating them, of course, but could keep it reasonably close for awhile.

- Schneider (we all know how much he loves Mueller)

- Spritzky (despite being his alma mater, I think he shares Schneider's affection for Mueller).

- Mueller himself - OK that maybe a little over the top. :lol:
