Thanks! - I knew that - I had a kid on my baseball team this year named "Connor" and I wrote his name down on the lineup card as "Conner" for nearly half the season before finally getting it right...now all I write is "Connor" as a result...

Wow, Crunch Time I appreciate you playing the devils advocate so early in the season and I'm sure the coaches share some of your same concerns! Lets face it, just like in the pros the score of a scrimage game is secondary! The only reason their is any optimism in Hebron is because of a winning season last year after going 1 and 9 the previous season! Losing Scooter on offense and basically replacing their entire O-line is HUGE! Not to mention losing two of top defensive ends in NKY! As far making Beechwood jump offsides SEVERAL times, and the interception, thats called football and one would think that Beechwood needs to work on a few of the finer points of the game! If you watched any Conner football at all last season you would no that drawing 2 or 3 offsides a game is a part of their plan! As far as Pugh's run if you were located in the South endzone behind Conner's offense Pugh was standing firmly on his feet at all times! The left side was sealed off and he did exactly what a good tailback should do, kick outside and out run the secondary to the endzone! Make no mistake Conner has a long way to go before the district games begin, but I think they will still be competitive by that time! You also may want to consider a few more IMO in future posts! :idunno:

 

IMO, DD seemed to make it sound as if the "ONLY" reason Conner didn't score on the first drive was because of a bad snap. My comment was strictly intended to counter this comment with "if not for jumping off-sides then perhaps the drive may not have been alive anyway" so it was a wash. Pugh's run was indeed very nice and he did his job, but "IMO" he could've & should've been down at the line of scrimmage.

 

Conner's experience certainly showed and inexperience was evident on the B'Wood side. Both teams will be okay when it counts.
