What you posted is exactly what I have been saying for weeks and it would be the President's biggest obstacle in that he needs to break it down for us a lot better. Problem is, I have no confidence he even knows what he is talking about. I think the President has an idea of what he wants done; he has a vision of what he would like to occur, but he really has no clue of the intricacies of the program... either that, or he is just doing a poor job of articulating it to us all.

 

The point you are inferring in that we have no place to be critical since we do not get it makes no sense to me. While I do not consider most Americans brilliant, I do not look at most Americans as stupid or incapable. Most Americans if you explain something to them, they can at least grab the concept of something. Nothing has been broken down or explained. I think we all have a legit right to be frustrated.

The other issue is that we (other than Commando) have to sift through multiple plans being floated around. Seems like there are about 27 of them.

 

I try to stay on top of things but this one has me befuddled.

Remember, there's a big difference in offering opinion vs stating as fact what the healthcare plan contains.

So we're all in agreement that we don't have a clue as to what's in it or what the effect will be (outside of the CBO projections) and yet we still are smart enough to criticize its components?

 

Most of the opposition can be found in a simple medical saying - "First, do no harm."

At first blush you seem to have a valid point.

 

However, with Rocket, I was having trouble following his logic since he was a bit vague in his first criticism ("have you heard him talk"). He seemed to be inconsistent (to me) so I kept questioning to get clarification.

 

With that said, Palin is an empty suit.

 

Her "death panel" comment should be enough evidence.

My saying that (my opinion) she's not very intelligent or she's traditional politician (talk out both sides of her pretty mouth) is an OPINION.

 

Stating that Obama wants to eliminate private health plans and basing it on a parsed video or stating that many Americans will be forced to change their plan as facts is simply an incorrect statement. Its not an opinion.

 

Saying that its too expensive or it might cause companies to drop health plans would be an opinion.

 

I'm sure you're able to see the difference.
