I still don't understand why President Obama never produced a birth certificate, but I believe he was born in Hawaii.

Presumably, Obama's mama didn't know her son would be running for POTUS when he was born. Why would she fake a birth certificate in Hawaii, given that she was an American, and in the overall scheme of things, no matter where he was born, he'd be an American as well?

Because his family in Kenya say he was born there.

 

They do? Didn't the newspaper in Hawaii find the birth announcement of his birth in Hawaii?

 

Do you somehow discredit the Hawaii state health director who says she has seen and verified that the original birth certificate is on file?

A serious question ... I've always had the belief that a son or daughter of an American citizen was automatically an American citizen, regardless of where they were born.

 

Is that not the case? If it is, there is no dispute because Obama's mother was an American citizen.

This, above all else, smells of partisan politics to the high heavens. People that don't like him want to jump on that bandwagon and discredit his American birth. They want to believe ONE Kenyan woman (who from all accounts has about 30 grandkids), over his American grandparents and an American newspaper announcement that was published 40 some years ago. They WANT to believe in it...that's textbook conspiracy theory.
