stick1 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Dad pulled me out of football practice to tell me my 2 year old son had fallen, got knocked out and was throwing up in the ER. Lucky the football field is right by the hospital. My wife had walked out front and he was playing with my little girl. He fell off the toliet seat (playing with toy frogs in the sink with his sis) and hit his head or nose we're not sure. He was really lathargic at the ER and couldn't stay awake. Now he's back to his old self and the Catscans came back good. I think he's fine but always like a little extra prayer with things like this. I'm sure this is one of many for him....he's part monkey I think:lol:
titletownclown Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Glad things seem to be ok. Will keep you in our thoughts/prayers.
threetimelover Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Thank goodness they did a CT scan on him. I can't imagine how worried you guys were. Glad to hear he's doing well. Falling off a toilet seat--sounds like a little boy!
Reality Check Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Prayers for a full recovery, good that the hospital was cautious.
oldrambler Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Of course prayers are going up from the Rambler household. Sounds like everything will work out. I am glad the CT came back good. Prayers will continue for Lil' Stick.
jvdfc Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Prayers out from the Capital City Stick1. Boys :jump: I have 2. I understand:thumb:
gold sunrise Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I understand too. I have a son that is sooooo accident prone. He went to Dr yesterday for his "good" knee. He mentioned that his folder was very thick. The Dr laughed and said, " Oh , there is another one just like this, you have 2 folders". I have said a special prayer for your little boy and for angels to be with him.
Henry521 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Glad everything seems to be fine. Keep an eye on him and welcome to having a boy. :taz: This may be the first and hopefully the last, but my guess probably not. You'll make it, but you will most likely be on a first name basis with all emergency personnal. It can come in handy. You, hopefully will not, but it may work that they know all your info. the minute you walk into the ER so you won't have to fill out all the paperwork. Been there done that.:irked:
stick1 Posted July 23, 2009 Author Posted July 23, 2009 He is really tough and has a high pain tolerance. He's thrown up about 8 times but is in great spirits now. He threw up one more time when we got home then snuggled up on me and fell asleep about 2:30 hours ago. I don't get to worked up over things after coaching ball for so long etc. Not real crazy about my 2 year old throwing up that much over a head injury though. Really wasn't in the ER when he was out of it. He was in great spirits laughing and bossing with that little finger pointing before he went to sleep so I think he's OK. Thank you all for the prayers! Once again great little family we have on this site! Rambler....Lil Stick....I like the ring of that lol!

Just me I know this situation.:irked: He's part monkey I think so I figure it's probably one of many:lol: When he came around in the ER he was like a bull in a china shop wanting to climb everything etc. They hooked him up with some things to play with + teddy grams (which he puked later :puke::ohbrother:). This is our 2nd child and I've got multiple nephews etc so I know it comes with the territory. Not crazy about him throwing up so much with a head injury though.
Royal Uncle Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I don't like the throwing up with a head injury. Watch him close for the next few days. I would also keep him with me while he slept. It's probably nothing to worry about, but I would ere on the side of caution.

oldrambler Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Stick, if Lil' Stick is pointing fingers and yelling that just may be the future coach coming out in him. I wonder where he could have picked that up from? :idunno: Keep us posted.
threetimelover Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Keep us posted on how he is doing, please stick.
