Acts that will keep you out forever? The Bible says blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is an unpardonable sin. But, if you look at that logically, the Spirit is God's agent to convict you, reveal truth to you and draw you to him...if you reject/blaspheme the Spirt, you're rejecting Christ and God by default. So, no, I don't think there's any act(s) that can't be atoned for by Christ's sacrifice. Acts that will get you in? Accepting Christ...that's it. :thumb: This is what I believe

I would add that Romans indicates salvation for those who accept the nature of Christ without ever hearing of the actual Christ.

How can you accept the "nature" of Christ, and if it is possible can I not be a muslim and accept the nature of Christ, Gandhi (hindu) even claimed to accept the nature of Christ, it was all of the Christians who bothered him so much.

July 17, 200917 yr I don't know who will or won't be there, but I suspect hell will consist of people from all origins, nationalities, ethnic groups, colors, etc...I don't think any one group will be alone there. That is what I was trying to get at with the Native American reference. I would guess not one Indian had heard of Christ or even the nature of Christ. Does that mean that all Native American's prior to Christians coming to American are burning in hell?

The answer is the we don't know for sure, but I would guess that Christian God does not send people to hell because they have not heard of Christ. People can be "united with Christ" without ever knowing it by living the way that Jesus told us too.

The bolded are the Scriptures that indicate that those who do not know Jesus can also possibly get into Heaven and could cover Native Americans, Muslims, Hindus, etc, etc.
July 17, 200917 yr Native Americans did believe in God....but it's not the Christian-accepted version of God. Like Chrstianity, the Native American religions varied from nation to nation. The Iroquois had beliefs most compatible with Christianity, in that they believed in the Great Spirit. Other nations, though had beliefs that were wildly at odds with Christianity. The Cherokee Nation believed in what we would call witchcraft, and numerology. The Apaches were probably the most pragmatic of all the Indian nations. They didn't stand on ritual and ceremony, and didn't really develop a complicated belief system. Their's was an individualized relationship with the supernatural, not a collective belief system. The Sioux had a loose collective belief system, in that there was a common belief in balance of nature and unity, but spirituality was an individual endeavor.

July 18, 200917 yr 5wide and LBBC have summarized it quite nicely. You must ask and accept. That is the only action required, there is no sin that cannot be atoned.
