July 8, 200917 yr Wow, another thread with people overreacting to some Chad does/says....Who would've thunk it? :ohbrother: :thumb: ^ He is a clown. But is it really news worthy?
July 8, 200917 yr Wow, another thread with people overreacting to some Chad does/says....Who would've thunk it? :ohbrother: So, this is a good idea on his part? You condone this? Do you think it will help the Bengals become something other than a laughingstock?

July 8, 200917 yr So, this is a good idea on his part? You condone this? Do you think it will help the Bengals become something other than a laughingstock? I could care less about it. When the other team has the ball, during timeouts, etc, I have zero problem with it. It's not like he's doing it while he's on the field. It will have zero impact on how the team performs.

That means he'll be doing this stuff instead of listening to his position coaches and offensive coordinator, or Carson. You have season tix, right? Enjoy the circus and its accompanying losses, because this will be just as big a distraction to the rest of his teammates as the rest of his drama queen antics.
July 8, 200917 yr Author Wow, another thread with people overreacting to some Chad does/says....Who would've thunk it? :ohbrother: Overreacting? I thought it was worth discussing, I didn't mean to bring something up that bothers you. Anyway, I think nothing good can come of it, and when he tweets something about a teammate in the heat of the moment that upsets them that isn't a distraction? So yeah, I care. Again though, I doubt Lewis will allow him to do this, I hope at least.

I love all of his apologists. Chad clamis he wants to win. There are a few organazations where winning happens. Notably New England and Pittsburgh. He says that's what he wants. His antics would never fly at a real organazation. It's not Chad's fault that his owner is a joke, but it is his fault that he is a comlpete joke. If he wants to win he should be a good teammate and not crave attention. He wants the limelight far more than the winning. In the grand scheme of things is it terrble for him to say something like this? No. Does it prove he's an attention hungry idiot? Yes.
July 8, 200917 yr It's hilarious how he does exactly what he intends to do because of people that get all riled up about him. He is actually a pretty nice guy from what I've heard and people who have met him. He likes to have fun, and get attention, and ya'll sure love giving it to him.

He can do all the crazy stuff he wants. None of it helps his team win. If he tried that crap on the Steelers (should he be so lucky to get picked up by them), someone like Troy P. or one of the linemen would put the fear of God into him. :thumb: Easily the nicest pro athlete I've come in contact with. July 8, 200917 yr I don't think I'd like this as a teammate, but I've never played football so I can't say for sure how it will affect the other players. Either way, they say that any publicity is good publicity. Without Chad, there would be no reason for the national media to mention the Bengals. However, his antics get people to think about Cincinnati, for better or for worse. Personally, so long as Chad performs, I don't mind his antics. Last season was cleary a letdown (both from Chad and the team) but back when the Bengals had their winning season and Chad was dominating, his antics were never a problem for me. Furthermore, it seems that some believe that Chad's antics keep the team from winning- I don't believe that at all. What kept the team from winning last year was having our franchise quarterback out for the year, which is due to having a miserable offensive line. Chad's craziness, IMO, has little impact on the team's winning. Perhaps his poor play, but I don't think that his poor play is a result of his antics, because we've seen him perform well in the past while still doing his thing. Since I don't think Chad's quirks affect his level of play, I have no problem with it. When it does, as a Bengals fan, I will- but I have no reason to believe it. July 8, 200917 yr Buster Olney was discussing this earlier and I agree with his stance. Maybe the league could use some interns to make some statements (i.e. tweets) from the sidelines. I think it is a cool idea. The idea of a working employee messing around on his cell phone while they should be reviewing defensive formations or discussing what they are doing their next series does not seem kosher to me though.
