Isn't that like saying "tell me why she is prettier?" Hard to put in words. Two strong coaches but Bob Lewis was one of the top coaches ever in greater Cincinnati.

I think Luke just had another 17 yard run against the Colonel defense. CovCath had no answer for him that game.

 

What was the score? I remember a kickoff return by Luke being the only score of the game. BTW, our kicker was not suppose to kick the ball to him.

Pretty harsh to go 9-1 and not make the playoffs, but now you can go 1-9 and make it. To me I think something in between would be a better system

The "old Bell" was never considered to be a threat in district play. It wasn't until well after consolidation that they ever beat corbin, not sure of the Bell/Middlesboro history before the consolidation.

From a discipline standpoint, I think the Conner coach had a better grip on his players.

I believe Bell was winless the year before the new school opened.

They lost to Cawood for the sub-district championship the first three years of the new school (84-86) before breaking through in 87 in a close game at Cawood.

Middlesboro beat Bell Co I believe 26 years in a row. And I don't know how much the consolidation helped Bell Co as much as it was Coach Hilton.
