Do people forget that he wat the biggest cry baby in the league before Memphis (Jerry West) bailed out that Lakers and gave them Gasol for pennies on the dollar? First he cried and demanded to be traded. Then he threw a young Bynum under the bus. Not to mention he tanked a series against the Suns a few years ago all while whining and crying the entire time. He's an all time great, but he is one of the least likeable all time greats. I hope he stays in LA b/c he loves the attention and they give him a chance to win. Not b/c of his legacy.

Actually I mentioned that he was top 5 of all time. You won't look at the bad ones though. How many top 5 superstars have had bad "moments" like that? I would say the worst moment of his career was the felony trial by the way. And running Shaq out of town wasn't a good idea.

Since I brought up at least 5 I'm not sure which one you are talking about. If you're talking about the felony indictment clealy you don't understand how down of a monent in someone's life that is.

You mean the terrible season he had his last in GB when they played a home game in the NFC title game that went to OT. Yeah he was pretty bad that year.

 

I think the Favre situation is dumb and terribly old. I just think to make him rush his decision wasn't entirely his fault. Also, before he injured his arm last year the Jets were arguably playing the best football in the NFL. Does he get no credit for playing well before he tore a muscle in his arm? People who want to rip Favre have selective memories.

You can use the arm injury as an excuse all you want, my selective memory recalls Favre being able to successfully play through injuries and addiction.....something he can no longer do.....so walk away Brett.

Why should you decide when he's ready to retire? He did play through the injury. He had a team that was terrible the year before on the brink of winning the division. It cracks me up that people want to tell a guy when to retire. If he wants to play and teams are willing to trade for him or sign him why should he retire? I actually don't even like Favre and am nowhere close to a fan. I just think he gets a raw deal b/c GB forced him to make a decision 3 months before he wanted to. That franchise was at the bottom before he became their starter. They knew he wasn't going to be ready when they wanted his decision. I think he should have retired after that, but I'm not here to tell him what to do. It's impossible to argue that he had a very good year his last year in GB though.

 

Is Jordan's legacy as a player tarnished for playing in Washington? I think it's funny that millions of peole w/ no talent get to tell a guy when he should hang it up.
