Ram, if your son hadn't been with us (a very nice young man, by the way), that waitress would never have never have let us out of Morehead.

As you said in an earlier post, it's our burden to bear.

West dominated on both sides of the ball. A special congradulations to Jake Bolander from Lewis County, he represented his school very well. Jake started and played both ways on the offensive and defensive line. Jeremy Thompson from Mason County had a great game running the ball and was named offensive MVP for the West team.

I know what you mean, see really had a thing for older men. What can we do? Some have it, some don't.

Raceland's John-Scott Carver received the Scholarship Award for the East.

Raceland's Brett Denton received the Offensive Player of the Game Award for the East.

The East just never could get the offense rolling, and the West just did a better job on defense. Congratulations to all the participants, a well deserved honor for each and every player.

Congrats to the players from Montgomery County Ryan Hackworth, Tyler Cundiff, and Grant Darnell. Also Congrats to Grant Darnell on his first career defensive touchdown, what a great way to go out an indian.

It sounds like the East were just out-matched.

The East and West records are tied at 2-2 now. That makes a good series.

Who received the Defensive Player of the Game Award for the East?

It sounds like the East were just out-matched.

That's the thing, by looking at the roster it looked like the East had more talent. Even some West fans that I spoke with before the game said that the East would win big. But, it looked like the West was better prepared and had more of an offensive game plan then did the East.

None the less, I enjoyed watching the seniors play one last high school game. And, Georgetown has some nice players coming this fall.

Who received the Defensive Player of the Game Award for the East?

East offensive player of the game: Brett Denton, Raceland

East scholarship recipient: John-Scott Carver, Raceland

East defensive player of the game: Berry Ward, Paintsville

West offensive player of the game: Jeremy Thompson, Mason County

West scholarship recipient:

West defensive player of the game: Aaron Medows, Bath County

West football All-Stars roll

By AARON SNYDER / For The Independent

OWINGSVILLE — The fourth annual Northeastern Kentucky East/West Senior Bowl did not end the way East All-Stars coach Lee Evans had planned, but the experience was enjoyable as a whole.

“There was not a bad experience to the very end,” Evans said.

The West All-Stars tied the overall series at 2-2 with a 33-0 blowout of the East All-Stars with dominant play on both sides of the ball on Friday night at Bath County High School.

Congrats to Raceland's John-Scott Carver and Bret Denton.

Congrats to both John Scottt and Brett. John Scott will have an excellent 4 years at Georgetown and will only continue to improve, and as for Brett, it was good to see you recieve the mvp award in your last football game.

BTW, Out of the 4 all star games played, Raceland players have collected 3 MVP awards (Tolliver, Forrest, Denton). I believe this is a testament to the great coaching these young men recieved from one of the best coaching staffs in the state.

Excellent point. A true testament to the Raceland program.

The Meadows kid from Bath Co. was a beast, he dominated the line and was fun to watch even though he was on the wrong team.

Just a shout out to the only Greenup Co. rep at the game Joe Bob Greenslate he was fun to watch and has been for the last 4 years. Classy move by the kid to ask for and wear number 3 in honor of a fallen team mate.
