Hatz
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4222106 Memphis aware in '08 of Rose SAT A little misleading title don't you think? The article states at the beginning that Memphis was first given a "red flag" on the possibility AFTER the NCAA tourney. There's a big difference if it is after the playing days are over (which Memphis had to know) and if they were playing him with prior knowledge of the impropriety. Bad reach on that one ScarHeel.
MysteriousOnes
In Scarheel's defense, that's how the article is worded on ESPN.com.
Hatz
In Scarheel's defense, that's how the article is worded on ESPN.com. And it immediately says in the first line: Memphis was made aware one month after the NCAA title game. The actual headline is worded a little differently as well. Memphis readies response to NCAA Sub-headline read what Scarheel posted. I like Scarheel and I assume he didn't take my retort personally. But in reality I try to look at a story and present what it really says, not what a headline reads or what "stirs the pot." :thumb: Like RockPride said, unless there is a smoking gun that reveals that Memphis KNEW this prior to that time then there is nothing here but people trying to drown from water spilled from a cup.
