May 28, 200917 yr Author I was going to mention that you didn't have George on the list, but I didn't want to sound like too much of a homer. Well you can see where it would be an easy oversight, it seems like Selvie has been at USF since they went D1 in 01.
May 28, 200917 yr Yeah right, he couldn't smell the top 5 list for QB's.. Was that sarcasm? Nothing Tyrod Taylor has shown the last two years warrants him being a top 5 QB. Especially this year, when the position is so top heavy.
May 28, 200917 yr Did you not read my preview? Suh was one of my top players in the country before anyone started talking about him for next years draft. Nah I guess I didnt. I might have to get around to that now tho.:thumb:
May 28, 200917 yr  Nah I guess I didnt. I might have to get around to that now tho.:thumb: I was actually shocked that someone else knew about Suh. He was one of the main reasons I wanted to do the Nebraska preview, as Big Spikes did the rest of the Big 12.
May 28, 200917 yr Tebow isn't the top pro prospect, but he is the best QB in college football. I'd also have Joe McKnight in the top RB's. And, I think Julio Jones is the top WR. But, I haven't thought much about college football, so I can't recall but a handful of players at this point.
May 28, 200917 yr So are Gerald McCoy, Jerry Hughes and George Selvie. Suh is a top 3 prospect, he's ahead of Selvie, and I'd say McCoy too. Was that sarcasm? Nothing Tyrod Taylor has shown the last two years warrants him being a top 5 QB. Especially this year, when the position is so top heavy. Yes it was sarcasm, are you kidding me? Taylor isn't close to Zac Robinson, and he's #5.
May 28, 200917 yr Author Suh is a top 3 prospect, he's ahead of Selvie, and I'd say McCoy too. McCoy was projected at 3 in McShay's first couple of mock drafts. Suh, Selvie, Hardy, Dunlap, McCoy, Hughes, there really isn't much disparity, this is one of the best years for Defensive Linemen in a long time. You really can't go wrong with any of the top 5 or 6. Yes it was sarcasm, are you kidding me? Taylor isn't close to Zac Robinson, and he's #5. I will take Darryl Clark, but once again there are a lot very good College QB's this season.
May 29, 200917 yr Tebow isn't the top pro prospect, but he is the best QB in college football. I'd also have Joe McKnight in the top RB's. And, I think Julio Jones is the top WR. But, I haven't thought much about college football, so I can't recall but a handful of players at this point. I just don't see a guy that doesn't start, in McKnight as one of the best RB's in the country. Yes it was sarcasm, are you kidding me? Taylor isn't close to Zac Robinson, and he's #5.

Neither is Pryor so I didn't know. Pryor gets alot of love because of OSU and how highly rated he was, but nothing he did last year warrants top 5 IMO. He had plenty of talent around him, and well didn't do great against the top competition the Bucks faced. Give me Tebow, Bradford, McCoy, Snead, Robinson, Darryl Clark, Massoli from Oregon, Reesing at Kansas, Robert Griffin at Baylor, Nesbitt at Georgia Tech, Dalton from TCU, Grothe at USF, and thats off the top of my head. I would also take Juice Williams at Illinois. Tyrod Taylor and Pryor are the same QB. So far from Pryor I see a very good prospect, but he hasn't warranted top 5 praise. He has great size and tools and is a good runner, but he doesn't have the speed to be a Pat White and is not a good passer by any stretch of the imagination. He may really turn it on this season, but just going by last year I say no.
May 29, 200917 yr Author I don't see what anyone sees in Terrelle Pryor, he is fast and a decent runner. But the poor kid couldn't throw a football farther than my 8-year old brother could accurately. I saw him struggling to complete bubble screens in the Fiesta Bowl. There are at least 10-15 Quarterbacks in America that I would take over him.
May 30, 200917 yr I still stand by my sentiments that Petrino is a top 5 coach...he will prove my feelings right in time.
May 30, 200917 yr Micheal Floyd is definetly up there with A.J. Green and Julio Jones he really makes that Irish offense click.
May 30, 200917 yr Author I still stand by my sentiments that Petrino is a top 5 coach...he will prove my feelings right in time. I agree, he has always been an offensive specialist, I think this team will thrive with Michael Smith at running back and Ryan Mallett, with his rocket arm, at quarterback. Don't be surprised if Mallett leads the the SEC in passing and Smith leads the league in rushing. Micheal Floyd is definetly up there with A.J. Green and Julio Jones he really makes that Irish offense click. Yes, yes he is, as Golden Tate is too.
May 31, 200917 yr I don't see how Houston Nutt is left off the coaches list. What he has done/is doing at Ole Miss is beyond belief. I would put USC's Damian Williams on the wide receiver list.

He may really turn it on this season, but just going by last year I say no. Tebow, Bradford, McCoy, Robinson, Snead. Those are the only five I would put over him out of your list. Taylor and Pryor are the same QB?? Wow, I hope that's sarcasm man. Taylor in 2008 - 1,036 passing yards, 2 TD's, 7 INT's, 738 rushing yards, 7 TD's Pryor in 2008 - 1,311 passing yards, 12 TD's, 4 INT's, 631 rushing yards, 6 TD's Not really the same QB's man. Pryor 10 more TD,s 3 less picks. Taylor has better rushing numbers, but it isn't by much. Those passing stats are what count. Juice is solid, and he has more experience in him. Pryor will have a great season in 2009, just wait.
