Not a bad night of fights.

Machida is going to be a tough out at 205 now that he has the title. His style is a terrible match up for everyone and he is discovering his KO power. The one guy that I think has a real shot at beating Machida will probably be the guy that he fights next, Rampage.

Matt Hughes almost got KO'd in Round 1 by a Serra head butt, but he stayed poised and looked good in beating Serra.

Frank Edgar surprised me with how easily he beat Sean Sherk. He dominated him from Round 2 on.

Chael Sonnen is tough on the ground. He looked great tonight with his wrestling. The fight was never in doubt.

McFedries make short work of Professor X; nice win for him.

I heard Hughes laid and prayed his way to a victory.

About the only chance he had to win too I'd say. If the fight wasn't on the ground for the most part, no way could Hughes have pulled it out IMO.

I don't know, HB20...Hughes earned all of his takedowns and while it wasn't the most brutal ground and pound I've seen, it was effective. Serra is a tough out for anybody in the welterweight division. He even got Hughes on the ground late in the third.

It wasn't a Thales Leites (vs Spider) situation, by any means.

Machida has been tough, very tough. Rampage would be a great fight for him, and about the only one he possibly wouldn't be able to walk away from. Rampage just has so much power and strength compared to all the other 205 guys, although when he does get beat it is by a technician or specialist as Machida is, so would be a great bout.

Machida was so dominant. He will be a tough out for anyone.

I feel a great wrestler who has good standup will beat him.

Machida is very quick, has very good striking and kicks without windups.

The clinch and wrestling is the only place I see him getting beat, and while Tito didn't beat him, he didn't get Ko'd and looked better than most.

A prime Dan Henderson beats him I think.

Karate is back!!!!!

Superfight?

Anderson Silva?

I'd consider paying double for that one.

They are teammates and will not fight each other.

Pitiful.

Then they should fight the same people to see who is better. After Machida fights Rampage, Silva should fight him...and Machida should fight Griffin when Silva gets done with him.

IN all honesty I see the UFC/Dana bringing in someone they think can beat Silva no matter what the cost and then let him leave to fight whomever in whatever org. Who that is or if that person exist remains to be seen. Mousasi fighting Hunt tonight might be a step toward that.

Machida, if he fights like he has the past 2 fights, will be marketable, just not to the extent a champion needs to be.

I think the Machida bandwagon is starting to pick up steam. It was a very pro Machida crowd at the weigh ins and on fight night. He might be more marketable than most of us think.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait on that Machida vs. Rampage fight.

Evans vs. Rampage should make for a good fight and interesting viewing during TUF 10.
