Great hire for Bracken Co. even if it did happen 1 year too late. I don't know who have been talking to, but all the boys I have talked to are very happy with the hire. Coach Persinger will be a successful head basketball coach at Bracken Co. for many years to come.:thumb:

 

Isn't it important for the varsity coach to have a good relationship with all the other coaches in his "program"? Last that I heard a lot of the Chad supporters know that the relationship between Chad and the other JR High coach is far from on the same team. Why do you put a softball coach, at best, in a situation where it is vital to work with other coaches he doesn't see eye to eye with. Congrats BC on your part time basketball coach. You need a full time coach to build a program from the bottom up and you passed on the best candidate. So now what I see is BCHS has hired a part time basketball coach and took a full time softball coach away from a successful program and now has made that also a part time position. Open your eyes people you let the best man walk away!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can twist the facts around and you make up things to make your post sound good but the truth is the best man did get the job and both programs will prosper under the leadership of Coach Persinger.

Harsh, Harsh, Harsh... I'm an outsider and for the sake of the current and future Polar Bears Bracken needs stability. The Bracken carousel of coaches needs to end. Bury your hatchets and rally behind Chad and do what's best for the players. Bracken has "good" group of freshmen entering this year and stability at the top is most important! Good Luck to the players and to Chad!

Oh, please! All In, it's a shame that you use this forum to put down Chad and hide behind your avatar in order to do it. It is obvious that you have personal issues with Coach Persinger and therefore fail to see reality.

 

This forum doesn't have anything to do with the softball team. It seems to me that nobody in administration or otherwise (unless they had a kid playing on the team) ever gave a hoot about the softball team until now. Suddenly, we can't quit talking about them.

 

It's sickening the way you put down the softball team and any other team Persinger is affiliated with. It's right down sickening. And you shouldn't be allowed to do it---kids read this stuff and they don't need to hear about how you see their accomplishments as "underachieving" ---simply because you're out to get their coach.:idunno:

No I was not on the committee but I am good friends with one of the applicants that did interview and his resume blows CP's out of the water. NAIA final four, Class A state champs, State tournament appearance, College recruiter, Teacher of the year twice, just to mention a few! Lives and breathes basketball for the last 15 years of his life!!!!
